Minister of Social Affairs, Richard Kouyoumjian, received on Thursday at the ministry a Danish delegation headed by Danish Development Cooperation Minister Rasmus Prehn, in the presence of Danish Ambassador Merritt Joel.
Talks reportedly touched on the displaced Syrians' dossier and its impact on Lebanon at the various levels.
Minister Kouyoumjian said at the meeting that the return of the displaced Syrians to their country was very urgent, since the negative repercussions of this displacement on the host Lebanese society has become grave.
"The international community and donor countries should exert a greater effort to achieve this speedy return without waiting for a political solution," the Minister said.
The dossier of Syrian refugees was also at the heart of discussions between Minister Kouyoumjian and the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Lebanon, Mireille Girard, and her Deputy.
