Health Ministry: 402 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, Tally at 347,282, in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced in a statement here today that 402 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 347,282, including 8,038 active cases undergoing treatment. Of these, there are 776 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. It added that 19 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 5,402. Meanwhile, as many as 433 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 333,842. On the other hand, 51,418 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.   Source: Saudi Press Agency

Egyptian Arab Socialist Party calls for lifting coercive measures imposed on Syria

Cairo, The Arab Egypt Socialist Party affirmed that the unjust Western blockade imposed on Syria is one of the forms of global conspiracy targeting it and the region, calling on the international community to work seriously to lift the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria. Meteorology Department: No Tsunami on Syrian coasts, just high waves

Damascus, Meteorology General Department reduced the possibility of any tsunami on Syrian coasts, asserting that the Mediterranean Sea is not an ideal place for the formation of tsunami because it lacks breadth and depth, in addition to the large number of islands and their position. Weather forecaster Maher Murhej told SANA in a statement that no tsunami waves were registered on the Levant coasts following the devastating earthquake which struck the Aegean Sea yesterday opposite of the Turkish and Greek coasts which reached 07,00 on Richter scale which was followed by more than 100 aftershocks, some of them 04,00 at Richter scale. Syrian team ranks 1st in 2020 online Hackathon Competition held in Britain
