Al-Amarah The Narcotics Control Department in Maysan seized 5 kilograms of crystal narcotic in Al-Azair district, south of the governorate.
The Maysan Police Directorate said in a statement that the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / received a copy of it: “The security forces set up an ambush and followed up one of the accused, who was riding a motorcycle, and after a chase, he managed to escape, taking advantage of the roughness of the land, following a dirt embankment, leaving behind his bike that had been seized and inside it (5) large bags containing crystal narcotic, estimated at about 5 kilograms.
The Directorate added: “The search and investigation operations are still ongoing until the accused is arrested and handed over to justice.”
