– The Veterinary Hospital in Diyala announced that the governorate is free of hemorrhagic fever.
A source in the veterinary hospital told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the person with hemorrhagic fever from the people of Khalis district, north of Baquba, has recovered, stressing that Diyala has become free of any confirmed infection with the disease.
He added that in the past months, Diyala recorded 5 cases of hemorrhagic fever. He pointed out that awareness and field monitoring efforts are continuing by the veterinary detachments to monitor and follow up suspected cases of the disease.
Last week, the Veterinary Hospital announced the registration of a confirmed case of hemorrhagic fever in Al-Khalis district, the fifth infection at the governorate level
