Riyadh, The Ministry of Health confirmed that the vaccines approved in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are effective and safe, stressing the importance of receiving two doses of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine to prevent the complications of the rapidly spreading virus variants.
As regards its follow-up of the developments of the pandemic over the past 24 hours, the Ministry announced 185 confirmed cases and 301 recoveries, adding that the number of active cases reached 2931, out of which 867 were prescribed as critical.
The total number of infections in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reached 544,634, while recoveries reached 533,151, the statement said, reporting seven new deaths to bring to 8552 the number of total deaths.
It advised everyone to contact 937 toll free for consultations and inquiries, to obtain health information and services around the clock, and to get informed of the developments of the COVID-19.
