Health Ministry : 80 new coronavirus cases registered in Syria

Damascus, The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday evening that 80 new coronavirus cases were registered in the country ,with  the recovery of 19 cases and death of 5 infected others. The Ministry added in a statement that the number of registered coronavirus cases has climbed to 26.799 ,of which 22.262 ones recovered and 1964 others passed away. The first coronavirus case in Syria was reported on Mar 22nd last year while the first fatality of the virus was on 29th of the same month. Source: Syria Arab News Agency

Russian Defense Ministry: Syria’s joining to the Collective Security Treaty Organization is possible

Moscow, SANA- Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, Officer ,Andrey Kartapolov ,said that the joining of Syria to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is possible if this issue is useful  for it and the member states at the organization. “CSTO charter is not a rigid dogma and it should immediately correspond with the emerging situation” ,meeting with Echo of Moscow Radio Station, the Russian officer said, indicating that he doesn’t rule out Syria’s access to the treaty if the mutual interest can be realized. The Organization was founded on October 7th in 2002 based on the Treaty signed on May 17th , 1992 including the member states of Russia ,Belarus ,Kazakhstan, Armenia ,Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Health Ministry: 85 new coronavirus cases detected in Syria

Damascus, SANA-Health Ministry announced on Friday that 85 new Covid-19 cases have been registered while 20 ones recovered and 6 died. The Ministry told SANA that the overall number of coronavirus cases registered until now reached 26719, 22243 have recovered while 1959 have died. Ministry of Health Reports 954 New COVID-19 Cases and 1,014 Recoveries in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced today, in a statement, that 954 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 531,935, including 10,237 active cases. Of these, there are 1,404 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable, the statement said. It added that 14 new deaths have been reported, putting the tally of fatalities at 8,311. Meanwhile, as many as 1,014 cases have recovered, raising recoveries toll to 513,387.   Source: Syrian Arab News Agency

Saudi Arabia Elected as Vice-Chairman of UNESCO World Heritage Committee

Paris, The member states of the World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) elected the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be the Organization’s vice-chairman as a representative of the Arab group in the World Heritage Committee during the committee's 44th session which was held in Fuzhou, China, for the period between 2021-2023.
