Riyadh, The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a statement published on its official website that the financial pledges announced during the virtual Yemen High-Level Pledging Event 2021, organized by Switzerland and Sweden in partnership with the United Nations, amounted to USD 1.67 billion. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made the largest pledge of USD 430 million, followed by Germany with USD 244.80 million for the Yemen Humanitarian Fund, then the United Arab Emirates with USD 230 million, and the United States of America with USD 191 million, then the United Kingdom with USD 123.23 million, and the European Commission with USD 116.28 million. 302 New Confirmed Covid-19 Cases, 286 Recoveries Reported, in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali said in a press conference today that 302 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; thus bringing the total number to 378,002 confirmed cases, including 2,571 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 486 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. Dr. Al-Abdulaali also said that 286 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 368,926 cases. Also, five new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 6,505. The number of people who received the COVID-19 vaccine in the Kingdom reached 885,411, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said.   Source: Saudi Press Agency

Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria Co-sign MoU in the Field of Air Cargo

Riyadh, The Minister of Transport Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, who is also Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Bulgarian Minister of Transport Hristo Aleksiev co-signed today a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of air cargo, in the presence of the President of (GACA) Abdulhadi bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri. The MoU included a number of legal items related to cementing cooperation and coordination in the field of air cargo, in addition to air safety, aviation security and a time-table for the routes to be operated, in order to consolidate bilateral cooperation, based on mutual utility and reciprocal respect, in accordance with the regulations and laws of the two countries.   Source: Saudi Press Agency

London, The United Kingdom denounced Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia's launching of a projectile towards a border village, in Jazan Region, resulting in casualties among a number of civilians and damaging civil facilities.
