Yemen, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed yesterday 7,150 cartons of dates for the poorest and displaced families in Al-Jouf, Al-Mahrah and Lahj, benefiting 7150 families. KSRelief Continues Implementing Emergency Response Project for Environmental Sanitation in Aden

Aden, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) continued here today financing the emergency response project for public hygiene and environmental sanitation. The KSRelief handed over hygiene supplies as well as 112 garbage containers to the Cleaning Fund and the Improvement of the City of Aden. The project, which was launched last month and will last for five months, benefiting 865,000 individuals, with pesticide spraying campaigns and the provision of garbage containers, contracting with 160 labors, in addition to providing fuel, and spare parts for waste transport machines, contracting with heavy equipment cars, and providing hygiene supplies, in order to reduce the spread of epidemics that result from the accumulation of waste, to achieve health security and enviro...

WAMY Distributes 1000 Ramadan Iftar Meals Pakistan

Islamabad, The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) Office in Pakistan has distributed 1000 Iftar (breaking-fast) meals in some areas and centers in Kashmir region and some WAMY's mosques in Peshawar region. The step comes within the project of distributing 19626 Iftar meals in a number of regions there. Two Syrian students represent Syria for competition of JCI in Japan

Lattakia, Two Syrian University students will participate in the competition of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) to be held in Japan after they have won the competition organized in Lattakia for the top 10 youths for the year 2020. The first student, Mohammad Araj, who is studying Mechatronic Engineering at Tishreen University, has participated in developing some projects in cooperation with the Syrian Computer Society to help Persons with Disabilities to move from one place to another and to serve themselves. Araj, who is a member of the SCS’s Robotics Club, asserted that the society plays a positive and active role in ensuring all forms of support despite the difficult circumstances the country is passing through. Iraq’s Former Spy Chief Takes Office as Prime Minister

Iraq swore in a new prime minister Thursday, ending a five-month period of squabbling among its political blocs. Former intelligence chief Mustafa al-Kadhimi became the country’s sixth prime minister since 2003. He was the third candidate to try to form a government after the late November resignation of Adel Abdul Mahdi. Al-Kadhimi noted the anti-government protests that pushed Mahdi from office, saying Thursday his government “will provide solutions, not add to the crises.” Those protesters rallied against a lack of jobs and called for Iraq’s ruling elite to leave office.  The coronavirus pandemic and a drop in oil prices have added economic pressure to the country.
