1,161 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, 1,216 Recoveries Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,161 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 458,707, including 9,376 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,579 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 15 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,471.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,216 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 441,860.

On the other hand, 86,073 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

KSrelief Performs 154 Surgeries as Part of Medical Campaign to Combat Blindness in Nigeria

Abuja, The Voluntary Medical Team of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) participating in the campaign to combat blindness and related diseases from 6 to 13 June 2021, in the Republic of Nigeria has examined 1,295 cases and performed 154 surgeries, in addition to distributing 231 eyeglasses and dispensing 608 prescriptions, benefiting families and individuals with limited income who are not able to cover the costs of treatment.

The campaign, provided by KSrelief, Saudi Arabia relief arm, aims to treat people with eye diseases and provide them with the necessary medical care in a number of needy countries.

Health Spokesman Affirms that the Vaccines Used in Saudi Arabia are Highly Safe, Infection Rates Resume Decreasing Due to the Community Awareness

Riyadh, The Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulali reaffirmed here today, that the community awareness has greatly helped in decreasing the Coronavirus infection curve, urging all to continue commitment to applying precautionary measures set, reach the positive trends through the vaccine up taking, indicating that the coronavirus infection is very dangerous and is not as rumored.

The vaccines are highly safe and that hesitation to be inoculated is very risky, he added, pointing out that the vaccine uptake, all over the world, is continuously increasing as the number of those inoculated has exceeded over two billion.

He stressed the importance of the distancing during gatherings and meetings, pointing that the vaccine decreases the chances for contracting the infection and limits the intractable disease, too.

On the proceeding of vaccination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he explained that the number of coronavirus vaccines’ doses stood at 14,852,246 given at 590 inoculation centers across the country, drawing attention that the raising level of vaccination will lead to the safe side, elaborating that various false information in regard of the vaccines, are widely reported and echoed, warning against circulating them.

As many as 984 new cases have been reported, raising the toll of confirmed cases to 457,546, with 9,446 active cases undergoing medical treatment, however almost all of them are stable against 1,545.

On the other hand, the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom, rose to 440,644 as 1,185 new cases were reported.

As many as 16 new deaths made the overall fatalities 7,456, all over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he concluded.

Health Ministry Vaccinates 98% of Healthcare Workers

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health has announced that 98% of healthcare workers at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s vaccination centers have received their COVID-19 vaccines. It also announced that 93% of healthcare workers at Tetamman Clinics and Takkad Centers have been vaccinated.

The ministry said the vaccination of healthcare workers falls within Saudi Arabia’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and is a reflection of its efforts to protect and enhance the healthcare system.

The ministry added that the number of its healthcare personnel who received the coronavirus vaccines has exceeded 82% in total.

More than 14 million citizens and residents have received the coronavirus vaccination through more than 590 vaccination centers across Saudi Arabia.

Ministry of Health Recommends Continuation of Applying Precautionary Measures, Reports 1,144 New Confirmed Cases

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health reported 1,144 new confirmed cases against as many as 1,253 recoveries, while the active cases rose to 9,663, including 1,539 in critical conditions, in the 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The ministry recommended continuance of applying the precautionary measures following the vaccination, such as putting on the mask and keeping a safe distance, drawing attention that the vaccines greatly contribute to decreasing the infection, however they do not prevent it, as the pandemic is still raging.

Overall infections rose to 456,562 against 439,459 recoveries, while the fatalities stood at 7,440 as 16 new deaths were added.

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,261 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 454,217, including 9,925 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,516 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 15 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,408.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,364 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 436,884.

On the other hand, 96,230 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Air Medical Evacuation Transports Coronavirus-Infected National from Jordan to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, In implementation of directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Air Medical Evacuation Directorate of the Health Services, at the Ministry of Defense transported a Saudi citizen who contracted coronavirus infection, from Jordan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with a specialized medical team, affiliated to the Ministry of Health.

Air medical evacuation planes have managed to transport more than 75 cases with coronavirus, without infecting neither the medical nor the air crews.

KSrelief Holds Training Courses to Promote Medical Care Quality in Yemen

Aden, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), has held training courses at 18 medical facilities in Yemen to promote their medical care quality, benefiting 145 medical workers.

The courses included percepts of quality standards, human resources, policies and measures related to promoting medical care quality.

This move falls within the humanitarian endeavors being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to support the Yemeni health sector and to upgrade medical cadres’ abilities.

Ministry of Health Reports 1,106 New Confirmed Coronavirus Cases, Warns against Negligence in Implementing Precautionary Measures

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health warned here today against negligence in implementing precautionary measures related to the Coronavirus pandemic, reaffirming the importance of abiding by them

On the other hand, the ministry reported 1,106 new confirmed infections and 1,274 new recoveries, while the active cases rose to 10,013, including 1,394 in critical conditions, in the last 24-hour.

The ministry’s new statistics pointed that the overall cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stood at 448,284 against 430,937 recoveries.

Fatalities’ toll reached 7,334 as 14 new deaths were reported.

Ministry of Health: Second Dose of Coronavirus Vaccine at Avail for Elderly from 60 Years and over, 1,215 Confirmed Infections, 1,161 Recoveries

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health reaffirmed here today that the second dose of Coronavirus vaccine is available for the elderly category from 60 years old and over, at all inoculation centers, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the same context, the ministry announced new statistics related to the Coronavirus latest developments, in the Kingdom, during the last 24-hour, which included detecting 1215 new confirmed infection cases and 1161 new recoveries, with the active cases reaching 10195, and 1355 cases in critical conditions.

The overall toll of infections in the Kingdom rose to 447,178 cases against as many as 429,663 recoveries, while the fatalities stood at 7320 as 11 new deaths were reported.
