Confessions Of Suspects, Arrested With 800 Pieces Of Antiquities, Ratified

BAGHDAD, Al-Rusafa Court of Inquiry on Integrity and Economic Crime has ratified the statements of three suspects in possession of 800 pieces of antiquities in Baghdad.

"The security forces arrested three suspects with 800 pieces of antiquities they were intending to sell them to a person for the purpose of smuggling and trading," Judge Abdul Sattar Birqdar, spokesman for the Supreme Judicial Council, said in a statement.

Birqdar added that "the confessions of the defendants have been ratified before the investigating judge in the Court of Inquiry in Rusafa, which is competent to consider economic crimes, and all legal procedures have been completed in order to refer them to the Court to receive their fair punishment."
