Eighteen Killed in Hotel Fire in China

Beijing, Eighteen people were killed when a fire broke out at a hotel in north-eastern China early Saturday, state media reported.

According to dpa, the fire started around 4:30 am (2030 GMT Friday) at a four story hot springs hotel in Harbin, according to China Global Television News, and took four hours to be extinguished by firefighters.

Over 100 firefighters and soldiers fought the fire. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
