GCC, United States Strategic Partnership Meetings, Kicked off, in Washington

Washington, Assistant Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Owaisheq held here today, a number of meetings with US Department of State officials, to follow up implementation of the outcomes of the GCC-US latest summit held, in Riyadh, on May 2017.

GCC Assistant Secretary General met with Timothy Lenderking, US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Arabian Gulf Affairs and his assistants, where they discussed developments in the region and mechanisms of joint action between the GCC and the United States, to deal with these developments.

GCC Assistant Secretary General also met with John Godfrey, new Deputy Coordinator for Regional and Multilateral Affairs, in the Bureau of Counterterrorism and Countering Violent Extremism, at the department, where they discussed joint cooperation, in the field of combating terrorism.
