Berlin, The Saudi Cultural Mission, an affiliate of the Saudi embassy in Berlin, Germany, organized a celebration commemorating the International Day of the Arabic Language for the year 2021, attended by the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Germany Isam bin Ibrahim Bait Al-Mal, several Arab diplomats and others interested in Arabic language and culture, including the head of the Orientalist Institute at Leipzig University Dr. Sebastian Maisel who, via Zoom, praised the status and importance of Arabic language and paid tribute to it calligraphy.
In a speech to mark the occasion, the cultural attaché in Germany Dr. Malik bin Abbad Al-Wadi’i, highlighted the importance and aesthetics of the Arabic language, and exposed its role in shaping Arab culture and impact on supporting and activating dialogue and civilized interaction.
