Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, sent a written letter to His Eminence the Grand Imam, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. It was delivered by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, at the headquarters of the Al-Azhar sheikhdom in Cairo.
HE the Grand Imam, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, praised relations between Al-Azhar and the Kingdom of Bahrain, lauding the role of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in serving Arab and Islamic issues.
For his part, the Bahraini ambassador expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation for Al-Azhar’s pioneering role in consolidating the Islamic principles and values of peace, tolerance and coexistence among various countries.
