Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met here today with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
At the outset of the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince welcomed the Russian Foreign Minister to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Russian Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of President Vladimir Putin to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince. For his part, HRH the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his own greetings to the President.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing joint cooperation in various fields. They also discussed issues of common interest as well as the developments at regional and international arenas, in addition to coordinating efforts to enhance security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet.
On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Presidential Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov; and Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sergei Kozlov.
