IMCTC Secretary General Meets with Kuwait Chief of Staff

Riyadh: Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi received Kuwait Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Bandar Salem Abdullah Al-Muzain and his delegation in Riyadh on Wednesday.

During the meeting in the IMCTC headquarters, the delegation was briefed on the prominent work exerted by the coalition and its methodology in combating terrorism across four key areas: ideology, communications, counter-terrorist financing, and military operations.

The delegation was also acquainted with the IMCTC publications, studies, and research in this regard.

Al-Muzain commended the professional techniques and systematic approaches employed to understand the dimensions and methodologies of extremist groups. He also lauded the efforts of the IMCTC in serving its member states and ensuring coordination.

Al-Moghedi praised the efforts of Kuwait in its fight against terrorism and threats to its security and stability. He highlighted Kuwait’s membership
in several regional and international organizations and centers concerned with combating terrorism and rejecting violence and extremism.

Al-Moghedi also underscored the efforts made by Kuwaiti representatives at the IMCTC and their role alongside representatives from other member states in exchanging international expertise, combating terrorism, and eliminating extremist groups.
