JUMBLATT RESPONDS TO ASSAD: DOES HE INTEND TO SABOTAGE LEBANESE BANKING SYSTEM AFTER DESTROYING SYRIA?

PSP leader, Walid Jumlatt, on Friday resorted to twitter to respond to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad’s latest claim that the Syrian economic crisis has been majorly caused by Lebanese banks “which currently withhold billions of US dollars that belong to Syrian depositors.”

“It seems that after he [Assad] looted, destroyed and abandoned most of Syria and benefited from all kinds of smuggling of subsidized items from Lebanon, and after Beirut Port was destroyed — as a result of the ammonium nitrate that he had imported for use in barrel bombs against his people — he still intends to eliminate the Lebanese banking system. Is the criminal investigation heading in this direction?” Jumblatt wondered one his  tweet.
