Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Thursday denied in a statement what had been mentioned in Al-Akhbar daily's issue dated Thursday 9/8/2018 about the Ministry's refusal of the credentials of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Lebanon.
"The State of Kuwait has decided to extend the mandate of its recently accredited Ambassador to Lebanon, Abdel-Aal al-Qenaie, which is a sovereign right that had not been rejected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the statement read.
"The historical relations between the Kuwaiti and Lebanese peoples and the two countries are deeply rooted in the Arab conscience; they are the best example of brotherly relations and cooperation in all fields. The Lebanese-Kuwaiti relationship is deeper than any cheap attempt to undermine it," the statement added.
