Machnouk says security apparatuses stand at equal distance from all

Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nouhad Machnouk, on Friday stressed that all state security apparatuses stand at equal distance from all candidates before and during elections day.

"There is a serious international and local monitoring of elections," Minister Machnouk said during presiding over a meeting of Mount Lebanon Security sub-Council, at Baabda Serail.

The meeting took place in the presence of Mount Lebanon Governor, Mohammed Makkawi, and Mount Lebanon Attorney General Judge Ghada Aoun.

Machnouk stressed maintaining security, stability and order during the entire electoral process.

The Minister corroborated that the forthcoming legislative elections on May 6 shall contribute to consecrating the state's image as capable, fair and just.

"The course of the parliamentary elections is a fundamental means for the advancement of the State's path," Machnouk said, stressing that international efforts in support of Lebanon shall not be wasted.
