Russia affirms its support for Syria in humanitarian aid file

Moscow, Russia reaffirmed its continued support for Syria in the humanitarian aid file.“Delivering Russian humanitarian aid to Syria is continuously done,” Novosti news agency quoted the Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, as saying on Wednesday.He added that the Russian delegations that visit Syria constantly provide support and assistance to it.In response to a question about whether work is currently underway to supply new quantities of Russian wheat to Syria, Bogdanov said that everything is being done properly.Source: Syrian Arab News Agency

1,269 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,269 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 452,956, including 10,043 active cases.Of these, there are 1,489 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.It added that 16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,393.Meanwhile, as many as 1,081 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 435,520.On the other hand, 93,209 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Source: Saudi Press Agency
