Riyadh, Jun 16, 2022, SPA — The Saudi Heritage Commission has participated in the activities of the Restoration Week 2022 that was held in the Republic of Italy, organized by the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Association for Architectural, Artistic and Urban Restoration, in which a group of experts specialized in the restoration of cultural heritage around the world participated.
The global cultural event focused on highlighting the strategic restoration sites in northern Italy, specifically in (Milan, Bologna, Ferrara, Venice).
The delegation of the Saudi Heritage Commission participated in the technical conference that was held during the event, and gave brief presentations on the opportunities to participate in the implementation of the projects of the Saudi Heritage Commission in the field of documentation, studies, designs and implementation, in addition to the joint cooperation between the Kingdom and countries of the world in the relevant cultural and heritage fields, which enhances opportunities for exchange Experience and transfer of knowledge related to human history and civilizations.
Through its participation in this global event, the Saudi Heritage Commission was keen to highlight the Kingdom’s efforts related to the restoration of urban heritage, and its roles in preserving and protecting the national heritage.
