Supported by KSrelief, Yemeni health staff in four governorates receive training on treating severe and acute malnutrition

Aden– A training course was held yesterday with the participation of 50 health personnel in emergency departments from four major hospitals in Aden, Lahj, Al Dhale, and Hadramout, who were trained on how to treat acute and severe malnutrition, with the support of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The training course aims to qualify health practitioners for treating severe and acute malnutrition patients, provide medical services in health and nutrition in pediatric and emergency departments, identify all cases of children admitted to hospitals, and provide prompt detection of the type of malnutrition and appropriate treatment and referral.

This comes within the framework of the continuous support provided by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to Yemeni health sector institutions and to provide appropriate rehabilitation for health cadres.
