The Egyptian Ambassador confirms to the Minister of Electricity the readiness of Egyptian companies to work inside Iraq in the energy sector

The Minister of Electricity, Eng. Ziyad Ali Fadel, received in his office at the Ministry headquarters today, Sunday, the Egyptian Ambassador, Walid Muhammad Ismail, and his accompanying delegation. They discussed the status of electric power in Iraq and ways to develop production.

The Minister confirmed, according to the Ministry's statement, that the Ministry succeeded in improving the production of electric power and increasing the processing hours for citizens, as he indicated the number of licenses that were discussed during the cabinet session, and the amount of imported gas that production plants operate on, and he said that we, as a government, have succeeded in working to reduce work on gas, by converting some stations to fuel.

The Minister also presented the Ministry's plan for renewable energies projects (solar) and the electronic collection system, in addition to clarifying the parallel connection with the Jordanian side that passes through the Rutba region, west of Anbar Governorate, at a rate of (50) megawatts, the Gulf connection and the completion period.

For his part, the Ambassador affirmed the readiness of Egyptian companies to work inside Iraq in the electricity sector, in order to raise production capacities and maintain generating stations./ End
