The Iraqi Embassy In Tehran Denies Issuing A Warning To Iraqis To Travel To Iran

BAGHDAD, The Iraqi Embassy in Tehran denied what was promoted by some media about the issuance of warning by the embassy of travel to the Republic of Iran.

Iraq's Ambassador to Iran, Rajih al-Moussawi said in a statement according to the Foreign Ministry: "The embassy explains to the public that there are thousands of Iraqi citizens visiting Iranian cities for tourism and visiting holy religious in addition to entering the free zone in Muhammarah and Abadan cities, and cases of theft or other are very limited and occur in any other country."

Moussawi said "there is great cooperation between the embassy and the Iranian competent authorities to regulate the entry of Iraqis to and from Iraq and Iran without hindrance."
