Baghdad, The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, discussed with the Indian Ambassador to Baghdad, Prashant Pise, scientific and academic cooperation between the two countries.
The Minister of Education affirmed, according to a statement by the ministry, the keenness of the ministry and its universities to enhance joint scientific understanding with the ancient Indian university institutions with a global presence in international forums.
He stressed the importance of developing scientific cooperation mechanisms in accordance with bilateral understandings between the two sides, especially with regard to twinning programs between universities, joint supervision and mutual scholarships.
For his part, the ambassador praised the development proposals for bilateral cooperation and the strategy in light of which the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research operates, stressing his country and its university institutions’ keenness on cultural exchange and updating scholarship programs offered to Iraqi students.
