Third Arab-Asian Dialogue on Intellectual Property Begins

Cairo, The third Arab-Asian Dialogue on Intellectual Property (IP) began today at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo between Japan and a number of Arab countries.

The dialogue was organized by the Arab League’s Intellectual Property and Competitiveness Department in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Japan Patent Office.

The Kingdom’s delegation to the discussions comprised the Executive Director of patents at the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) Mizael Alharbi, the Head of SAIP’s International Partnership Department Turki Al-Faqih, and Head of Environmental Creativity System Team at the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority Ahmad Al-Numani.

The third Arab-Asian Dialogue will be discussing the latest developments with regard to IP in the digital age, artificial intelligence (AI), and the management of IP offices and the growing challenges they face, as well as possible areas of cooperation to establish effective IP systems using modern technologies.
