10.3 tons of expired materials seized in cooperation with partner agencies during last June

A press release issued by the Public Relations and Media Department of the Customs Police Department stated that during the month of June, it dealt with nearly 200 cases in cooperation with civil partner agencies and the relevant security services, within the framework of combating the phenomenon of smuggling in all its forms and protecting the national economy.

The statement indicated that the cases were distributed between tax and customs cases, in addition to cases related to the economic, health, agricultural and public safety fields.

The statement details that the device dealt with:

-100 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance to improve state revenues and provide the treasury with funds, which are detailed as follows:

– 69 tax and customs cases were resolved and taxpayers were referred to the ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

_ 22 cases of goods coming from Israel without a clearance invoice were seized.

-9 cases in the field of smuggled tobacco, which is banned from c
irculation due to its economic damage and drain on the state treasury.

– Dealing with 50 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy to prevent the spread of spoiled, counterfeit and settlement goods, as detailed below:

– Approximately 7.3 tons of expired materials were seized and destroyed.

– Seizing 2.7 tons (of food, cosmetics and beauty supplies) that do not carry an identification card in Arabic and materials that violate mandatory technical instructions.

– Seizing approximately 36 pieces and 53 packets of beaded toys, which are goods prohibited from being traded in the Palestinian market.

_ In the same context, 30 cases were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to provide food and health security:

During this, nearly 3 tons of expired materials were seized and destroyed based on the decision of the competent authorities.

-2672 boxes of sexual stimulants and nutritional supplements, which are prohibited from circulation and do not have licenses, were handed over to the compe
tent authorities.

_ Seizing 2,000 liters of mineral water that did not meet specifications and standards.

_ 15 issues in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and in support of the agricultural sector and encouraging local products, including:

_ 12 cases of agricultural products that do not have agricultural permits or import permits or are prohibited from trading by a decision of the Minister of Agriculture.

-3 cases of animal products that do not have agricultural permits or import permits or are prohibited from trading by a decision of the Minister of Agriculture.

_ 7 cases of illegal communications in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology:

During which, 48 postal parcels were seized that did not have licenses from the Ministry of Communications, 12 Israeli parcels, and nearly a thousand communications chips banned from circulation. The seized items were handed over to the Ministry pending completion of legal procedures.
