‫ CGTN:الصين تقدم تعهدات جديدة لمساعدة البلدان النامية على التغلب على كوفيد-19

بكين، 22 مايو 2021 /PRNewswire/ — أعلنت الصين يوم الجمعة عن عدة تدابير جديدة لمساعدة البلدان النامية على مواجهة جائحة كوفيد-19 وآثاره الكاسحة، وتعهدت بالمساهمة بمبلغ 3 مليارات دولار في السنوات الثلاث المقبلة وتقديم المزيد من اللقاحات.

حث الرئيس الصيني “شي جين بينغ” في كلمته أمام قمة الصحة العالمية عبر اتصال الفيديو، الاقتصادات الرائدة في العالم على معالجة أوجه القصور وسد الثغرات وتقوية الروابط الضعيفة في مكافحة “أخطر جائحة منذ قرن”.

واستضافت القمة كل من المفوضية الأوروبية وإيطاليا، رئيسة مجموعة العشرين (G20) هذا العام.

تجاوز عدد حالات الإصابة المؤكدة بكوفيد-19 في جميع أنحاء العالم 165 مليونًا، مع أكثر من 3.4 مليون حالة وفاة، وفقًا لبيانات من جامعة جونز هوبكنز.

‘سد فجوة التحصين’

وقال “شي”: “قبل عام، اقترحت أن اللقاحات ينبغي أن تكون منفعة عامة عالمية. واليوم، أصبحت مشكلة التطعيم غير المتكافئ أكثر حدة.”

وقال الدكتور “تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس” ـ المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية (WHO) ـ في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر أنه تم إعطاء أكثر من 1.1 مليار جرعة لقاح كوفيد-19 على مستوى العالم، ولكن تم إعطاء أكثر من 80 في المائة من تلك الجرعات في البلدان ذات الدخل المرتفع والمتوسط، بينما توجد نسبة 0.3 في المائة فقط من التطعيمات في البلدان منخفضة الدخل.

وأشار “شي” إلى أن الصين قد قدمت 300 مليون جرعة من اللقاحات للعالم؛ وقدمت لقاحات مجانية لأكثر من 80 دولة نامية في حاجة ماسة وصدّرت لقاحات إلى 43 دولة، مضيفًا أن الصين ستوفر المزيد من اللقاحات بأفضل ما في وسعها.

وقال إن الصين تدعم شركات اللقاحات لديها في نقل التقنيات إلى الدول النامية الأخرى وتنفيذ الإنتاج المشترك معها.

وأكد من جديد دعم الصين للتنازل عن حقوق الملكية الفكرية للقاحات كوفيد-19، وقال إن البلاد “تدعم منظمة التجارة العالمية والمؤسسات الدولية الأخرى لاتخاذ قرار مبكر بشأن هذه المسألة”.

وقد طرح اقتراحًا لإنشاء منتدى دولي حول التعاون في مجال اللقاحات لتعزيز التوزيع العادل والمنصف للقاحات حول العالم.

وشدد “شي” على أنه “يجب علينا التمسك بالإنصاف والمساواة ونحن نسعى جاهدين لسد فجوة التطعيم. من الضروري بالنسبة لنا رفض التمييز في اللقاحات حسب الجنسية وإيجاد حلول للقضايا المتعلقة بالقدرة الإنتاجية وتوزيع اللقاحات، من أجل جعل اللقاحات أكثر يسرًا ومعقولة التكلفة بالنسبة إلى البلدان النامية.”

المزيد من الدعم المالي

لقد قدمت الصين بالفعل ملياري دولار للمساعدة في استجابة البلدان النامية لكوفيد-19؛ وأرسلت إمدادات طبية إلى أكثر من 150 دولة و13 منظمة دولية، مع تقديم أكثر من 280 مليار كمامة و3.4 مليار بدلة واقية وأربعة مليارات مجموعة اختبار إلى العالم، وفقًا لما ذكره “شي”.

وأعلن أن “الصين ستقدم 3 مليارات دولار إضافية من المساعدات الدولية على مدى السنوات الثلاث المقبلة لدعم الاستجابة لكوفيد-19 والتعافي الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في البلدان النامية الأخرى”.

ذكر “شي”، زعيم أكبر دولة نامية في العالم، عبارة “الدول النامية” 11 مرة في خطاب استغرق أقل من سبع دقائق، داعيًا أعضاء مجموعة العشرين إلى بذل المزيد من الجهد لمساعدتهم ومعالجة مخاوفهم.

وقال إن “الصين تنفذ بشكل كامل مبادرة مجموعة العشرين لتعليق خدمة الدين للبلدان الأكثر فقرًا وأجلت حتى الآن سداد ديون تتجاوز 1.3 مليار دولار، وهو أعلى مبلغ تأجيل بين أعضاء مجموعة العشرين”.

وقال الرئيس الصيني إنه من الضروري أن يواصل أعضاء مجموعة العشرين دعم البلدان النامية بوسائل مثل تعليق الديون والمساعدة التنموية.

ودعا “شي” كذلك إلى تحسين نظام الحوكمة العالمي. قال الرئيس الصيني إنه يتعين على دول مجموعة العشرين تعزيز دور الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة الصحة العالمية والاستفادة منهما وتحسين نظام الوقاية من الأمراض ومكافحتها على الصعيد العالمي.

وأضاف “من المهم أن نتمسك بروح المشاورات المكثفة، والمساهمة المشتركة والمنافع المشتركة، والاستماع الكامل لوجهات نظر الدول النامية، وان نعكس بشكل افضل مخاوفها المشروعة”.

وكرر “شي” دعوته للتضامن والتعاون في مكافحة كوفيد-19 وبناء مجتمع عالمي من الصحة للجميع.

وقال إن “الوباء تذكير آخر بأننا كبشر ننهض وننهار في مستقبل مشترك. ويجب أن ندافع عن رؤية بناء مجتمع عالمي للصحة للجميع، وأن نتغلب على هذا الوقت العصيب من خلال التضامن والتعاون، وأن نرفض بشدة أي محاولة لتسييس الفيروس أو التصنيف على أساسه أو وصمه”.

Syrian-Iranian talks to enhance trade, industrial relations

Tehran, Secretary of the Committee for the Development of Iranian-Syrian Trade Relations, Hassan Danaeifar has discussed with the Syrian economic delegation visiting Tehran, prospects for developing trade and industrial relations between the two countries.

Danaeifar’s remarks came during a meeting with the Syrian economic delegation in Tehran, which embraces Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Eng. Jamal Eddin Shu’aib and Assistant Minister of Industry Dr. Jamal al-Omar and Director of the Syrian Trading Institution, Ahmed Najim and Director of Textile Industries Institution, Eng. Harith Makhlouf.

Danaeifar stressed his country’s willingness to find the necessary infrastructure to strengthen and develop the bilateral trade and industrial relations in various fields, underlying the need to set a timetable for the implementation of what is agreed upon benefiting from the available capabilities in both countries.

The Iranian official affirmed importance of the visit paid by the Syrian delegation to Iran which has been briefed on all the opportunities and fields that serve various sectors in Syria, including the trade and industrial sectors and the commodities, raw materials, production lines and technology that Syria needs.

Danaeifar added that there are important matters such as exchanging goods between the two countries, underlining the importance of establishing a joint trade company between the two sides and holding trade fairs in Syria and Iran to showcase the products of the two countries.

The Iranian official revealed that there are various contracts signed between the two sides, expressing his country’s support for every step that enhances joint trade and industrial cooperation.

For his part, the Syrian Ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub, who participated in the meetings, said that the visit of the Syrian delegation will establish a new phase for future cooperation between the two countries and provide an opportunity for more cooperation prospects that serve the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, reaffirming that all possible support will be provided to the process of cooperation between the two sides.

Ambassador Dayoub stressed the importance of working to establish partnerships between the two sides in the trade and industrial fields and production lines to reach real and tangible results in various sectors of joint cooperation, particularly through implementing what has been agreed upon and what will be agreed upon later.

For his part, the Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Tehran that several understandings were reached, the most prominent of which is a study on exchanging goods and the possibility of establishing a joint Syrian-Iranian trade company as well as the establishment of a store especially for ITCA Corporation at the Syrian Trading Establishment in Damascus, in addition to the establishment of a Syrian trade store at ITCA centers in Tehran.

For his part, Assistant Minister of Industry said that there is a need to learn about technology and expertise in the field of industry to revive the factories and production lines destroyed by the terrorist war waged on Syria.

He added that there are also areas for cooperation to increase the production capacity of mineral water production lines and revive the battery manufacturing plant in Aleppo and the dairy and cheese factories, noting that the Iranian companies can benefit from the facilitations provided by the new investment law in Syria.

75% of recently Detected Coronavirus Cases due to Family Encounters, Says Health Spokesman, Denies Reports on Cancellation of 2nd Vaccine Dose

Riyadh, The Official Spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulali dismissed circulated reports on cancellation of the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, elaborating that the matter is no more than a delay, aiming at accelerating access to much more individuals of the society to the first dose, to raise the level of immunity.

He added that Saudi Arabia observes a steady decline in the curve of confirmed infections and that 75 per cent of recently detected cases resulted from family-held social occasions, calling all the public to abide by the instructions to realize community immunity.

During a press conference here today, he stated that the number of vaccine doses stood at 12,819,360 conducted at 590 inoculation centers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the tally of all confirmed cases in the country, rose to 440,914, including 8,975 active cases undergoing treatment against 1,344 diagnosed as critical cases. However they are in stable conditions, while 1,067 new cases were detected, said the report.

The toll of overall recoveries rose to 424,690 as new 895 cases were added against 7,249 fatalities, as new twelve deaths were reported.

As many as 18,537,938 lab tests have accurately taken place, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the report concluded.

Saudi-UAE Housing Council Holds 4th Meeting

Riyadh, The Saudi-Emirati Housing Council, one of the initiatives of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, held its fourth meeting.

The virtual meeting was attended by Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing for housing subsidies, and General Supervisor of the International Cooperation Department at the ministry led the Saudi side.

Prince Talal emphasized that the council’s meeting aimed at enhancing ties and cooperation between the two countries.

Jameela Al Findi, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, stressed the UAE’s desire to sustain joint bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the development of the housing system in the two countries.

The participants also reviewed future projects and exchanged views on the approach and mechanism adopted by the two countries.

KSrelief Supervisor General Meets with Sudanese Officials

Riyadh, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), met here today with Head of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front Al-Hadi Idriss and Head of the Sudan Liberation Movement Minni Arcua Minnawi.

During the meeting, they reviewed humanitarian and relief-related projects carried out by the KSrelief, in Sudan, and means to promote them.

There are as many as 28 such projects, worth USD16,463,000, covering the sectors of food security, health, education, sheltering, water and environmental sanitation.

The Sudanese delegation extended thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for providing Sudan and its people with humanitarian support, in all fields, praising the historical relations binding the two brotherly countries.

Shura Council’s Saudi-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Committee Meets with Singapore Ambassador

Riyadh, Shura Council’s Saudi-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Committee, headed by Council Member Osamah Al Rabeeah, held a meeting in Riyadh with Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Wong Chow Ming, in the presence of members of the Council and Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

At the outset of the meeting, Osamah Al Rabeeah welcomed the Ambassador. He also stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation at the parliamentary level represented by the Shura Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Singapore’s Parliament through exchanging visits and experiences.

For his part, the Ambassador praised the services being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Umrah performers and visitors of the Two Holy Mosques from around the world.

Syrian community in Canada organizes national activities in support of presidential elections

Ottawa/Montreal, Members and representatives of the Syrian community in the Canadian Capital City of Ottawa organized on Saturday two national activities in support of the presidential elections, asserting that they complement Syria’s victories in its battle against terrorism and its backers.

The participants gathered in front of the Syrian Embassy in Ottawa, raising the national flags to express happiness over Syria’s victory and steadfastness in the face of terrorism and the global conspiracy hatched against it which has been manifested through its ability to organize the presidential elections.

The participants affirmed that this victory wouldn’t have been achieved without the steadfastness of the Syrian Arab people and their solidarity with their wise leadership and the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army.

Upon invitation of People’s Assembly: A Belarusian delegation to keep pace with Presidential elections process in Syria

Minsk, Upon the invitation of People’s Assembly, the House of Representatives of the Republic of Belarus has formed a delegation to participate in following up the presidential elections in Syria scheduled to be held in Syria in May, 26th.

The delegation, which is scheduled to arrive in Damascus on Sunday in preparation to carry out its task in keeping up with the elections, encompasses a number of the Parliamentarians and specialists in the electoral affairs.

People’s Assembly invited, by the end of the last month, some parliaments of the brotherly and friendly countries to keep pace with the process of electing president of the Syrian Arab Republic, including the Belarusian House of Representatives.

Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Receives a Written Message From President of Equatorial Guinea

Riyadh, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a written message from President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

On behalf of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for African Countries Affairs, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan, received the message during his meeting here today with Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Benigno Pedro Matute Tang.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations as well as issues of common interest.
