Uzbek Team Arrives in Riyadh to Participate in Asian Qualifiers

Riyadh, A delegation of Uzbekistan national football team has arrived in Riyadh, to take part in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup, it was reported today.

Upon arrival, the Uzbek team was received, at King Khalid International Airport, by a number of officials of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.

The Uzbek team is scheduled to play against each of Singapore, Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

First participation of Syria in activities of WHO Executive Council

Damascus, With the participation of Syria, activities of the 149th session of World Health Organization (WHO) Executive council were held on Wednesday virtually in presence of representive members from 34 countries.

World Health Assembly unanimously elected Syria for the membership of the Executive council to represent East Mediterranean for 3 years.

In a speech in the meeting of WHO Executive Council, Health Minister, Hassan al-Ghabash, affirmed that Syria believes in working according to UN Charter and international law and it is keen to assume its responsibilities in the council and to work effectively and constructively in the framework of multilateral action to support sustainable development efforts.

The Minister called for providing the necessary assistance to the member countries to enhance their ability in building flexible and advanced health systems, particularly in the light of COVID 19 pandemic which requires more mutual work to confront it and more emphasis on justice by distributing vaccines between the rich and poor countries of the world.

He stressed the necessity for all member countries to commit to respecting the human rights and working in accordance with UN charters and international law.

New scandals reveal Erdogan arming al-Qaeda terrorist organization in Syria

Damascus, Scandals of the Turkish regime and the secrets of its close relation with terrorist organizations in Syria, including al-Qaeda, continue to uncover via videos published by Turkish mafia leader, Sadat Bakr, in which he reveals the corruption of those close to the Recep Tayyip Erdogan regime, and their involvement in serious crimes, including the support for terrorism, murder and drug trafficking.

A new video, posted by Bakr, who has close relations with the Turkish regime and was circulated on social media and several media outlets, in which he confirmed the cooperation of Turkish intelligence with the mafia gangs to smuggle weapons and military equipment to terrorist organizations in Syria, particularly Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization under the cover of alleged humanitarian aid, indicating that two of Erdogan supporters are involved in these smuggling operations, in addition to the illegal trafficking in Syria.

Bakr noted that large amounts of weapons and military equipment were sent to Jabhat Nusra organization via the Turkish security company “SADAT” affiliated to Turkish intelligence, where the company headed by retired Turkish brigadier general, Adnan Tanriverdi, carried out these smuggling operations in 2018.

He added that the Director of Administrative Affairs of the Presidency Metin Kiratli, is directly responsible for the illegal trafficking operations carried out by Turkish regime and its mercenaries in Syria.

“I am not talking about bargains of a truck or two, but I am talking about stolen oil, tea, sugar, aluminum, copper, and used cars worth billions of dollars,” as he said.

Bakr have posted series of videos since several months which reveal the scandals of Erdogan and his close circle with terrorist organizations in Syria, corruption operations, political assassinations, drug trafficking and other serious crimes.

People’s Assembly: Syria obtained victory through fulfilling presidential election

Damascus, Members of the People’s Assembly said on Wednesday that Syria has obtained victory through fulfilling presidential election, adding that Syria is the owner of right and a cause which has several thousand-year of civilization.

The MPs, during a session for the people’s Assembly chaired by Speaker, Hammouda Sabbagh, affirmed that campaigns of external media and misleading wouldn’t be able to affect the stance and track of the Syrian people.

“The Presidential election entitlement has reflected the Syrian people’s adherence to their national principles and belief in the modernization and development process,” the MPs added.

Other MPs called for intensifying work and unity during the post-election stage.

1,269 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,269 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 452,956, including 10,043 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,489 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 16 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,393.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,081 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 435,520.

On the other hand, 93,209 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Syrian communities abroad celebrate fulfilment of presidential election

Capitals, The Syrian communities in a number of countries around the world continued their celebrations on fulfilling the presidential election entitlement with the winning of Dr. Bashar al-Assad, noting to the wide participation of Syrians inside and outside the country.

In the Egyptian capital of Cairo, the Syrian Embassy held a celebration on the winning of President al-Assad in the election, in the presence of the diplomatic mission and members of the Syrian community and the National Union of Syrian Students in Egypt.

Participants in the celebration renewed their support to their country and behind their leadership, adding that they “are soldiers in the battle to rebuild Syria and raise its flag at all international forums.”

They expressed joy for the victory embodied in the electoral entitlement and the winning of President al-Assad.

Meanwhile, the Syrian community in Spain expressed their joy in fulfilling the constitutional entitlement and the winning of Dr. Bashar al-Assad in the presidential election.

” Despite all the conspiracies against the Syrian people, the electoral process was accomplished, and this constitutes a victory for the Syrian Arab people who fulfilled their electoral duty as the result has dealt a severe blow to enemies of the nation,” members of the community said.

In Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Civil Initiative against the war on Syria and Iran, indicated that Syria has once again presented a model for all humanity about the way to defend the homeland, pointing out that the wide participation of Syrians in the election is an example to be followed not only for all European countries, but for the whole world as well.
