Nebenzia: Solution to humanitarian situation in Syria to be realized through respecting its sovereignty

“We have repeatedly said that all should respect Syria’s sovereignty and its territorial integrity, Russian TASS news agency quoted Nebenzia as saying during a meeting for Security Council, adding that solution to the humanitarian problems in Syria won’t be achieved in the extension of the mechanism of aid delivery, and it is useless to talk about this issue until “our Western partners stress their commitment to the mission in word and deeds.”

He expressed astonishment at statements of UN Secretary-General António Guterres about that mechanism for distributing aid, wondering whether this mechanism would remain in this place forever.

Syrian 2nd International Conference on Multiple Sclerosis opens activities in Aleppo

Aleppo, With participation of 120 doctors from Arab and foreign countries, activities of the 2nd Syrian International Conference on Multiple Sclerosis, organized by the Syrian Doctors’ Syndicate in cooperation with the Syrian Association for Medical Sciences, began today at the Sheraton Aleppo Hotel.

Dr. Kamal Asad Amer, Chief of the Doctors’ Syndicate in Syria, affirmed the importance of the conference in shedding light on the disease of multiple sclerosis and revealing the developments of this autoimmune disease that leads to disability in young patients in case of delays in treatment and diagnosis.

He added that the efforts and experiences of participating doctors from Arab Countries and the scientific and practical sessions of the conference would raise the health level in Syria and contribute to serving patients.

In a speech via the Internet, Dr. Maged Abdel Nassir, Head of the Arab Federation of Neurological Societies from Egypt, said that the conference, through the research and work sessions, will contribute to providing the up-to-date treatment for patients with multiple sclerosis and controlling this disease, especially through direct dialogue between doctors inside and outside Syria.

The conference lasts for three days and holds five practical and online sessions to discuss the latest up-to-dates in multiple sclerosis and diagnose clinical cases in a practical way and provide treatment for them.

President al-Assad awards General Aslan Syrian Order of Merit of excellent degree

Damascus, President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday awarded Major General Ali Aslan, former Army Chief of Staff, the Syrian Order of Merit, of the excellent degree, in appreciation of his role as a military commander and his heroisms as a brave combatant and officer at the battlefields in addition to his 7 decades-long career.

General Aslan is one of the most prominent commanders of the Syrian Arab Army. He was born in 1932 and occupied a number of military posts, including the commander of Syrian forces working in Lebanon and the army’s Chief of Staff in Syria, then as an advisor at the Republic presidency in 2003 until today.

He joined the military Academy in 1952 and was one of the most prominent commanders in Tishreen Liberation War of 1973.

While he was Deputy Chief of Staff, the armed forces confronted the Muslim Brotherhood groups in Syria and the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982.

Aslan wrote a number of military important books and set several military theories which have achieved benefits during wars.

US occupation brings in a new convoy of vehicles to Syrian al-Jazeera

Hasaka, The US occupation forces on Thursday brought in a convoy loaded with materials, logistic equipment and supplies, as one of their military planes dropped 3 containers inside their illegitimate base in al-Shaddadi, south of Hasaka to support their forces in the Syrian al-Jazeera.

“33 vehicles, including trucks, refrigerators, and tankers carrying military equipment and logistic materials, in addition to oil tanks, headed for Rmelan city in al-Malikiyah area, east of Qamishli,” Local sources in Sweidyiah of al-Yarubiyah countryside told SANA reporter.

The reporter also quoted civil sources as saying that a plane affiliated to the US occupation forces dropped 3 containers over their base in al-Shaddadi city of before heading for al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside.

Dr. Al-Issa Meets with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs

Riyadh, Secretary General of Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa has met here with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs Daniel Benaim, in the presence of U.S. Charge d’Affaires to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Martina Strong.

During the meeting, they reviewed issues of common interest and prospects for cooperation between the two sides.

Syria , Indonesia to enhance parliamentary ties

Jakarta, The Acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Jakarta, Abdul Moneim Annan, discussed with Fadli Zon, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation and member of the Defense, Foreign Relations and Media Committee at the Indonesian House of Representatives, means of enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Fadli Zon expressed the Indonesian people’s appreciation for the stances of Syria and its leadership, represented by President Bashar al-Assad, in the face of the aggressive policies of the Israeli entity and its crimes in the region, noting to the close parliamentary relations between the two countries, which were manifested in many different international parliamentary forums.

He pointed out the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between parliamentarians in the two countries, including activating the Syrian-Indonesian Parliamentary Friendship Committee and exchanging experiences in parliamentary work and in the cultural, economic and development fields.

In turn, Annan briefed the Indonesian official on the situation in Syria and attempts that targeted it by terrorists and their supporters in favor of the Israeli occupation entity and its projects in the region.

French Ambassador Visits Saudi Center of Public Opinion Poll

Riyadh, French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ludovic Pouille paid a visit today to the Saudi Center of Public Opinion Poll.

Upon arrival at the venue, he was received by Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors Dr. Abdullah Al-Hogail.

The French Ambassador was briefed on the scientific procedures being carried out by the Center in collecting its data, as well as the methodology for its refinement and analysis, praising the Center’s work and results.

Kazakh Foreign Ministry: Astana next round of talks on Syria set on July 6th

Nur-Sultan, The Kazakh Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that the date for the next round of Astana talks on Syria will be held in the capital of Nur-Sultan on July 7-8th.

Sputnik quoted a statement by the ministry published on its website as saying that” on July 7th and 8th, the 16th round on Syria will be held in Astana format in the city of Nur-Sultan”.

The statement added that delegations from the guarantor states, Iran, Russia and Turkey, in addition to the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic and the opposition one will also participate in addition to representatives from the UN, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq as observers.

KSrelief Concludes its Medical Campaigns to Combat Blindness in Pakistan by Performing 2,429 Surgeries

Islamabad, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded yesterday its voluntary medical campaigns to combat blindness and the diseases that cause it in Pakistan for the year 2021.

During the campaigns, the voluntary team performed 24,950 medical diagnoses and 2,429 cataract surgeries, in addition to dispensing 3,450 eyeglasses, benefiting families and individuals with limited income.

This campaign, presented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, aims to treat people with eye diseases and provide them with the necessary medical care in a number of the needy countries in accordance with the agreement signed by the KSrelief with the Al-Basar International Foundation.

1,255 New Confirmed COVID-19 Cases, 1,247 Recoveries Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced, in a statement here today, that 1,255 new confirmed cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 479,390, including 11,322 active cases.

Of these, there are 1,451 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

It added that 14 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 7,730.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,247 cases have recovered, raising recoveries’ toll to 460,338.

On the other hand, 91,021 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
