Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Directs KSrelief to Urgently Provide Malaysia with Medical, Preventive Equipment and Supplies to Address COVID-19 Pandemic

Riyadh, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to urgently provide the Kingdom of Malaysia with medical, preventive equipment, and supplies to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This came in response to the request of the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hishammuddin Hussein, during his call with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

The Adviser at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah in a statement, stressed that the royal directive comes as an affirmation of the humanitarian role being played by Saudi Arabia towards the countries most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the depth of the solid relations that bind the two sisterly countries.

Dr. Al Rabeeah explained that the aid includes providing 1,000,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, medical devices, care and treatment devices, preventive supplies, and other medical needs.

Dr. Al Rabeeah extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH Crown Prince for this gesture, which confirms the leadership’s keenness to support sisterly countries around the world in various crises and circumstances.

Ministry of Health: 1,194 New Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced today that 1,194 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; bringing the total number to 518,143 confirmed cases, including 10,847 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 1,408 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable.

The Ministry of Health also announced that 1,164 new recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 499,129 cases. Also, 12 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 8,167.

Kuwait strongly condemns continuing Houthi militia targeting of civilians in Saudi Arabia

Kuwait, The State of Kuwait has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the continuing terrorist Houthi militia threat to the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the targeting of civilians and civilian areas and the stability of the region by launching a number of drones towards the southern regions of the Kingdom.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that such aggressive practices and ignoring the efforts of the international community to end the conflict in Yemen and targeting civilians constitute a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law, which requires the international community to move quickly and decisively to hold the perpetrators accountable.

The Foreign Ministry also stressed Kuwait’s full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.

Jordan Condemns Drone, Rocket Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Amman, Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sunday condemned the launch by Yemen’s Houthi militia of three bomb-laden drones and a ballistic missile on Jazan in Saudi Arabia, which were intercepted by Arab coalition forces.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated Jordan’s firm position in condemning “such repeated cowardly terrorist acts that target civilian and vital facilities and aim to undermine security, stability and peace.”

It reaffirmed that Jordan stands by “Saudi Arabia in the face of all threats to its security,” adding that any threat to the security of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

Made in Syria exhibition for direct sale starts in Baghdad

Damascus, With the participation of 100 Syrian industrial companies, activities of “Made in Syria” exhibition for direct sale started on Sunday in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

The exhibition was organized by the regional office of the Union of Arab Exporters and Importers in Syria, and the Association of Syrian Exporters of Garment and Textile, in cooperation with the Syrian Chambers of Industry and Trade.

The Exhibition, which will be held on Baghdad International Fair, will be attended by important industrial companies, in addition to food, textile and chemical brands, and it will last to August 5th.

Head of Arab Exporters and Importers Union in Syria, Mohammad al-Sawah told SANA that the exhibition aims at enhancing marketing and export outlets for the Syrian products in the conventional foreign markets and open new markets for these products.

Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up work of Int’l Conference on Return of Refugees to kick off on Monday

Damascus, The Syrian–Russian joint meeting will be kicked off on Monday in the Conference palace in Damascus to follow up work of the the International Conference on Return of Syrian Refugees and displaced who were forced to leave the country due to terrorists’ crimes.

The three-day meeting will discuss measures taken by the Syrian state to create conditions for the return of the Syrian refugees and provide decent living conditions , in coordination and cooperation with Russia.

There will be also tours by the senior Russian delegation in several provinces, including delivery of humanitarian assistance. There will be joint medical experiments to be conducted by medical experts of both sides, and several agreements will be inked between the two sides.

Mechanisms for developing bilateral work and direct exportation will be also discussed, in addition to developing cooperation between the Syrian and Russian media outlets.

The International Conference on Return of Syrian Refugees held in November,2020 , calling on the international community to provide appropriate support to secure housing for the displaced Syrians , and their return to the normal life , in addition to increasing support to Syria through implementation of projects related to early reconstruction, including basic infrastructure facilities such as water, electricity and schools, and hospitals, as well as providing health ,medical care, and social services.

With participation of Syria, WSDC 2021 kicks off

Damascus, With Syria’s participation, the competition of World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC 2021), organized remotely in the Chinese city of Macau for secondary school students were launched on Sunday with the participation of 74 states.

Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement that the Syrian team participating in this competition that will last till August 5th, consists of 4 members whose names are Shaza Ahmad Kazbary ,Aan Mary Nabil al-Jarash ,Amal Abdulrahman Jallad and Aya Mohammed Saqr.

The Agency clarified that this is the third participation for Syria in this world competition and it comes within the Agency’s plan to spread the culture of debates and dialogue in the Syrian community and among its youth to show their real capabilities in dialogue and persuasion.

The debates are held in English and divided into two stages ,the first one is being held between July 25th and 30th ,with the final to be conducted between August 1st and 5th ,2021.

Russian forces operating in Syria hold a celebration on occasion of Russian Navy Day

Tartous, The Command of Russian forces operating in Syria on Sunday held an official ceremony at Tartous beach on occasion of Russian Navy Day.

The celebration included a parade that imitates real combatant acts with participation of Russian frigate ,Admiral Makarov, modern warships ,some submarines affiliated to the Russian Navy and military aviation with all its forms in addition to hovercrafts of the marine combat , along with the participation of some Syrian Naval units.

At the end of the celebration, the Russian fighters and hovercrafts carried out a parade carrying the Syrian and Russian flags.
