Sarajevo, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh co-signed at the headquarters of the Islamic Sheikhdom in Sarajevo today an executive program for cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs with the Islamic Sheikhdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For his part, the Head of the Islamic Sheikhdom Dr. Husein Kavazovic, who is also Head of Scholars and General Mufti, signed for the Bosnian side.

Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Osama bin Dakhil Al-Ahmadi and a number of senior officials from both sides were present during the signing ceremony.

Damascus, The Syrian and Russian Coordination Committees on the Return of the Syrian Refugees affirmed on Wednesday that the return of the displaced Syrians to their areas liberated from terrorism is a national priority for the Syrian state, which exerted large efforts to rebuild the infrastructure in the country and find job opportunities for the returnees.

In a joint statement by the two Committees, Syria and Russia affirmed the need for reconstruction and liquidation of terrorist hotbeds and their remnants synchronizing with the efforts exerted by Syria to secure what is needed for the Syrian returnees .

The statement stressed that the obstacles that face the return of the displaced to their liberated areas are still represented by the approach followed by Western countries in adopting the policy of sanctions against Syria and the measures that are extended annually, which curb the process of rebuilding the country and limit the citizens’ ability to secure their basic needs, in addition to the Illegitimate presence of the foreign occupation forces on Syrian territory.

It underlined the need to stop politicizing the humanitarian aid process to Syria and lift the sanctions that have harmed the Syrian economy and deprived the Syrians from achieving self-sufficiency.

New York, Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Bassam Sabbagh, affirmed that the State terrorism and the Israeli repeated aggressions on Syrian territories represent a flagrant violation of UN charter, rules of the international law and Security council resolutions which call for respecting Syria sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Sabbagh, in a statement submitted to the UN Security Council session on Wednesday on “The situation in the Middle East” , said that the series of Israeli repeated aggressions against Syria ,most recent of which was on Thursday , consolidate the policies of the occupation entity based on practicing “the State Terrorism” and providing the continuous support to the terrorist groups in Syria in another blatant violation of the international resolutions concerned with combating terrorism ,referring that Syria notified the Security Council and UN General Secretary about the details of these aggressions and the dangerous threat they pose to the security and stability of the region.

He added that the Israeli occupation authorities continue attempts of consolidating its occupation of Syrian Golan in an unprecedented challenge to the international will and the relevant resolutions of the UN and Security Council ,in particular 242 ,338 and 497, through escalating the settlement on remains of the Syrian villages and territories destroyed by this occupation , seizing lands of Golan’s citizens and establishing settlement schemes such as starting to set up huge wind turbines on an area equal to one fifth of the agricultural farmlands remaining to citizens of Golan.

Syria’s representative renewed Syria’s call on the international community to put pressure on Israel immediately and without any delay as it is the occupying force ,opening and operating Quneitra crossing that links Syrian people in occupied Golan with their country , reiterating Syria’s condemnation, with the strongest terms, the latest US proclamations in relation to Occupied Syrian Golan which affirm that the US policy against it comes from the Israeli perspective and serves its expansionist aggressive policies in the area .

He stressed that such proclamations are null and have no legal effect and that the occupied Golan will absolutely be restored to the homeland with all means guaranteed by the international law.

Sabbagh voiced Syria’s regret about the continued ignorance in the resolutions of the General Secretary regarding the dangerous reality and the systematic Israeli violations against our people in Golan.

The Syrian diplomat reiterated Syria’s adherence to the Palestinian people’s cause which can’t be separated from its adherence towards the Syrians in Occupied Golan, and that it supports their right in self-determination, establishing a sovereign state on its whole territory with Jerusalem as its capital in addition to ensuring the right of refugees to return according to UN resolution No.194 for the year 1948.

Damascus, Syria strongly condemned on Wednesday the Turkish regime’s interference in Tunisia’s domestic affairs, stressing that the Turkish policy can only support the extremist Brotherhood approach which seeks to destroy countries, fragment their national unity, and impose its abnormal agendas and policies on other countries and peoples.

“While the Syrian Arab Republic affirms its respect for the sovereignty and independence of states and non-interference in their affairs, it has followed the blatant Turkish interference in the affairs of Tunisia, and it strongly condemns these acts,” An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement to SANA.

The source added that while Syria stresses the right of peoples to self-determination, it underlines its full respect for the measures recently taken by Tunisia within the framework of the constitution and it is certain that the legitimate state in Tunisia and the Tunisian people are able to go ahead towards a future decided by the Tunisians themselves without any intervention by any rogue terrorist regimes.
