Shura Council Holds 31st Ordinary Session

Riyadh– The Shura Council today virtually held its 31st ordinary session of the second year of the eighth session, under the presidency of Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.

The council approved the tourism bylaw that was referred to the council for further consideration according to Article 17 of its internal bylaw, with the participation of Minister of State for Shura Council Affairs Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Said.

The council also approved the draft bylaw on the Small and Medium Enterprises Bank.

The council also voted in favor of approving amendments to Item 23 of the penal code of forgery crimes.

At the beginning of the session, the council approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the radio and television field between the Saudi Broadcasting Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Media in Oman.

The council also approved a draft agreement on employing workforce between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.

The council also voted in favor of approving a memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Iraq on electric connection.

The council approved a memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Oman on food and water security.

The council approved a draft cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of Iraq in the field of marine transport.

Lebanon’s Grand Mufti: We Do Not Imagine Ourselves without Saudi Arabia’s Cover

Beirut– Grand Mufti of Lebanon Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian said that the return of the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon contributed to huge relief in ourselves, especially that we do not imagine ourselves without the cover of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In statements to the press, he added that we have always supported the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s return to Lebanon as per the constitution and the Taif Agreement, and we are proud of the encompassing Arab identity.

He added that this step expresses the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries to enjoy good relations with Lebanon so as to keep Lebanon within the Arab world, referring to the Lebanese people’s commitment to their Arab identity.

He said: “We are interested in relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon,” expressing hope for the Lebanese-Arab ties to stay at the highest levels of rapprochement and fraternity adding that as long as things are going the right way and as long as we maintain a proper course, these relations will be good and there will be no future crises with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He noted that he asked Lebanese President Michel Aoun to work on resuming solidarity between Lebanon and Arab brothers, calling on all the Lebanese people to spare no effort to ensure that Lebanese-Arab ties are at their best for the benefit of all Lebanese citizens.

KSrelief project “Masam” dismantles 1,444 mines in Yemen within a week

Riyadh– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center “Masam” project to clear Yemeni lands of mines managed during the first week of April 2022 AD to dismantle 1,444 mines planted by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen, including 19 anti-personnel mines, 784 anti-tank mines, 640 unexploded ordnance and one explosive device.

The number of mines dismantled since the beginning of the “Masam” project so far has reached 330,981 mines planted by the Houthi militia indiscriminately throughout Yemen to claim more innocent victims of children, women and the elderly, while the Kingdom – represented, by KSrelief project, continues clearing the Yemeni lands of mines, and contributing to helping Yemeni people to live a decent life.

KSrelief Distributes 467 Ramadan Food Baskets in Abuja, Nigeria

Abuja– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) yesterday distributed 467 Ramadan food baskets in Abuja, Nigeria, which benefited 2,802 individuals.

This is part of the Ramadan Feeding Initiative that seeks to distribute around 157,000 food baskets weighing more than 8,000 tons in 19 countries, as part of the relief and humanitarian efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, during the holy month of Ramadan.

12 organ donor citizens awarded King Abdulaziz Medal of 3rd degree

Jeddah– The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved awarding King Abdulaziz Medal of the third degree to 12 citizens.

Everyone of the citizens has donated one of his or her main organs, whether the organ is from an alive or a brain-dead person.

KSrelief distributes Ramadan food baskets to the needy in Tajikistan

Dushanbe– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 100 Ramadan food baskets weighing 6.95 tons in Varzob, Tajikistan, benefiting 100 families of 600 members.

KSrelief humanitarian efforts in Tajikistan come within the framework of the Ramadan food baskets distribution project within the Ramadan Feeding Initiative for the year 1443, which aims to distribute 9,625 food baskets, each weighing 69.50 kilograms, and including basic food commodities, benefiting 51,400 people from the neediest groups in Dushanbe, Ayni, and Istiklol, among others.

KSrelief distributes 3,450 cartons of dates in Marib, Yemen

Marib, Yemen– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 3,450 cartons of dates to the neediest people in Wadi District in Marib Governorate, Yemen, benefiting 20,700 individuals.

This comes within the project of distributing dates aid being provided by the Kingdom, represented by the Center, to the Yemeni people for the year 2022 AD.

A delegation from Omani Command and Staff College Visits Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition

Riyadh– Acting Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghdi received today at the IMCTC headquarters a delegation from the Omani Command and Staff College (CSC) of Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) headed by the College Commander, Air Staff Brigadier General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Mashikhi. The visit comes in the context of knowledge exchange to combat terrorism and violent extremism.

The delegation attended a detailed demonstration of IMCTC efforts in combating terrorism and its role in countering extremist ideology and coordinating all efforts to confront terrorist trends through intellectual, media, and military initiatives and combating terrorist financing, in addition to its role in coordinating and intensifying the efforts of member states of the IMCTC.
