Jeddah, Jeddah Season 2022 continued its activities for the second day, in the presence of a large number of visitors, as “Jeddah Art Promenade” zone and the “Cirque du Soleil” shows zone enjoyed a large turnout of visitors from an early age to enjoy various shows and events.

The activities of Jeddah Season added a state of joy and happiness to the people and visitors of Jeddah of different ages and nationalities during the days of Eid Al-Fitr. The events attracted families who enjoyed fireworks shows, circuses, live shows and various events, in addition to restaurants, cafes and integrated services in the event zones for the convenience of visitors.

The events of the Jeddah Season 2022 constituted a unique mixture of diversity that employed the heritage, historic and cultural richness in which Jeddah is distinguished by its global character and new experiences, to offer the people and visitors of Jeddah an exceptional and diverse season that meets various desires, as it includes 2,800 activities in 9 zones over a period of 60 days.

Jeddah Season management closely follows up the work and field tasks of the event zones, and works on the comfort of the season’s visitors and facilitates their access to the event zones, as the activities of the second day witnessed a flow of visitors’ movement in the event zones and a precise field organization, despite the intensity of attendance and the season’s coincidence with the blessed Eid al-Fitr.

Jeddah Season also offers 70 interactive experiences, more than 60 entertainment games, 7 Arab plays, two international plays, many marine experiences and events, an international circus, 4 international exhibitions, and many other shows and services as well as different options for the visitor to spend the most beautiful time with his/her family in the event zones.

Occupied Al-Quds, The Israeli occupation army prevented the evening call to prayer (Adhan) from being raised yesterday (Tuesday), in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Palestinian sources quoted the Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds, saying that the occupation army cut off the external speakers of Al-Aqsa Mosque to prevent prayer at the request of the occupation officials.

Riyadh, The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued its daily forecast report for the weather in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The report said that surface duty winds will continue in some parts of Tabuk, Northern Borders, and Al-Jouf regions, while thunderstorms are forecasted in those regions, extending to Hail region. The report added that the chance of thunderstorms is high in the heights of Makkah, Jazzan, Assir, and Al-Baha.

The report showed that the surface wind movement in the Red Sea will be southerly to southwesterly, turning to westerly, at a speed of 15-35 km/h, while the surface wind movement in the Arabian Gulf will be westerly to northwesterly at a speed of 10-30 km/h.

Jeddah, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a cable of congratulations to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands on the anniversary of his country’s Liberation Day.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques wished the Dutch King constant good health and happiness and the Government and people of the Kingdom of Netherlands steady progress and prosperity.

Riyadh, The International Conference and Exhibition for Education (ICEE 2022), organized by the Ministry of education, will kick off next Sunday and will continue until May 11, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center; to discuss the opportunities available to develop education in the Kingdom and the incentives to invest in this sector, as well as suggest solutions that contribute to overcoming crises and challenges facing education, enhancing the efficiency of its institutions and improving its outcomes per international standards and indicators.

The conference, which is themed “Education in Times of Crises: Opportunities and Challenges”, is an extension of the Ministry of Education’s constant efforts to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in building the Human Resources, contributing to the development of society, and strengthening partnership with its members and institutions, in addition to building partnerships and bridges of communication with the largest educational institutions around the world, with the Kingdom’s leadership’s support.

The conference will be attended by 110 local, and 152 international exhibitors, in addition to several educational institutions, universities, local and international education centers, officials from the Ministry of Education, heads of public and private universities and their employees, and education experts from across the world, in addition to parties and investors concerned with education.

ICEE 2022 will include many sessions and workshops during which more than 130 working papers will be presented.

The main session will be attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh; the Minister of Education and Technical Education in Egypt, Dr. Tarek Shawky; the Minister of Education in the United Arab Emirates, Eng. Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, and Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad and the International Director of Education at the World Bank, Dr. Kemi Saavedra.

They will talk about educational policies in light of crises, and how to deal with the challenges of epidemics to ensure the sustainability of the educational process, while a group of international specialists will also discuss many themes related to facing the challenges of the current coronavirus pandemic.

The ICEE will also discuss the epidemics that may spread in the future, and how to deal with them to ensure the sustainability of the educational process, in addition to the requirements for developing the infrastructure for online education via the Internet or through educational channels, as well as discussing aspects of education at all levels, starting from kindergarten to university education stages, and enhancing quality in education outcomes, development opportunities and raising the level of performance, in addition to presenting the experiences of local and international educational institutions in this regard.

N’Djamena, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed the day before yesterday 470 food baskets to the neediest families in the city of N’Djamena, capital of the Republic of Chad, benefiting 2,820 people.

This aid comes as an extension of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince to the affected countries and peoples around the world.

Jeddah, The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has warned against the ongoing violations and threats of the extremist Israeli settlers under the Israeli occupation forces’ protection to storm the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and perform Talmudic prayers in its courtyards, and raise the flag of the Israel occupation inside it, considering this a flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions and an infringement on the sanctity of the mosque.

The organization held the Israel occupation full responsibility for the repercussions of the continuation of these violations, which constitute a blatant attack on the feelings of Muslims and would fuel violence and tension and lead to igniting a religious war that threatens international security and stability.

The organization also called on the international community, namely the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities towards obligating Israel, the occupying force, to stop its violations and aggressions against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian lands and holy sites.

Makkah, The Languages and Translation Unit, represented by the General Administration of Digital Broadcasting in Languages, and through the initiative of the Minbar (pulpit) Al-Haram initiative, and the digital broadcasting initiative in international languages 24 hours a day from the Grand Mosque in Ramadan, has delivered the message of the Two Holy Mosques to the rest of the world, in different languages, through the Al-Haramain digital platform, and FM radio frequencies, which comes within the presidency’s participation with the Makkah Region initiative titled “How to be a role model in the digital world.”

The Director-General of the General Administration of Digital Broadcasting in Languages, Mishari Al-Matrafi, said that the number of beneficiaries of the Minbar Al-Haram initiative to broadcast the translation of Friday sermons during Ramadan and the Eid Al-Fitr sermon, amounted to more than 223,877, adding that the administration transmitted programs, scientific lessons, sermons and recitation of the Quran and the hadiths of the Prophet about the virtues of fasting and zakat, for nearly 720 consecutive hours for each language, with the number of beneficiaries from all languages exceeding more than 557,515.
