Digital Government Authority Launches the “Inclusive Government Program”

Riyadh– The Digital Government Authority (DGA) has launched the “Inclusive Government Program” with the aim of providing integrated digital services to the government sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, encouraging the use of infrastructure and common applications, in addition to raising the level of data sharing among the government agencies, and achieving integration between them in order to enable and accelerate sustainable digital government transformation.

The DGA Governor of the Authority, Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al-Suwayan, stressed that the “Inclusive Government Program” seeks to provide a better digital experience for the beneficiary through unified platforms and applications, in addition to developing and operating comprehensive government platforms through a set of technologies that enable the authorities to develop, exchange and link services without the need to redesign, test and run the same platforms.

RSAF Commander Receives Chief of Staff of Pakistan Air Force

Riyadh– Prince Lt. Gen. Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) received here today the Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber and the accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, issue of common interest were discussed.

It is worth mentioning that the Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Air Force paid a visit to Riyadh-based Saqer-Aljazirah Aviation Museum and a number of Saudi companies specialized in the field of aviation.

ITFC Signs Agreement with Maldives to Support Procurement of Essential Commodities

Sharm El Sheikh– The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), has renewed a Murabaha Trade Financing agreement for US$ 175 million to support the import of essential commodities with the State Trading Organization (STO), Maldives.

The financing facility will support the procurement of essential commodities, including petroleum products, staple food and medicine and medical equipment.

The facility agreement was signed by Eng. Hani Salem Sonbol, CEO, ITFC and Husen Amru Mohamed Rashed, CEO and MD, State Trading Organization, Maldives on the sidelines of IsDB 2022 Annual Meeting.

Education Ministry Receives Two Excellence Certificates at WSIS 2022

Riyadh– The Ministry of Education has received two certificates of excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022 (WSIS 2022), which is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme of ICTs for Well-Being, Inclusion and Resilience.

The WSIS 2022 granted the Ministry of Education a certificate of excellence to “Ekhtibar” platform for the category of access to information and knowledge, and another certificate was granted to the project of supporting business development offered by the Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University for the e-sciences category.

The ministry has realized these two certificates after high levels of competition with global projects, which stress the quality of e-education platforms of Saudi schools and universities in offering high-level educational and research processes, in addition to enhancing the skills of students and its ability to compete globally to realize the Kingdom Vision 2030.
