Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques condoles Japanese Prime Minister on death of former Prime Minister

Jeddah, The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a cable of condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida on the death of the former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The King expressed deepest condolences and most sincere sympathy to the Prime Minister, the family of the deceased and the friendly people of Japan.

Spokesmen confirm completion of implementation of plan to ascend pilgrims to Arafat easily

Muzdalifah, The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdali, confirmed that the general health of the pilgrims is reassuring with the availability of all health capabilities in all hospitals in the Arafat area, in addition to harnessing all health facilities and human resources, in preparation for the reception of pilgrims in Muzdalifah, implementing pre-set plans and providing services to them.

At the daily press conference for this year’s Hajj season, which was held today in Makkah, with the participation of the security spokesman at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub, and the official spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Eng. Hesham Saeed, Al-Abdali said “the health status of the pilgrims is reassuring, and no outbreaks of diseases affecting public health have been recorded among them,” calling on all pilgrims to avoid heat stress (sunstroke) to avoid any injuries related to stress or the occurrence of sunstroke and to resort to using umbrellas, drinking fluids and resting while performing the rituals and to avoid any chances of infection by wearing a mask.

He revealed that the number of beneficiaries of the health services provided in all health facilities in the Holy Sites exceeded 65,000, including 108 cardiac catheterization operations were performed, 313 dialysis sessions were provided, 177 surgeries and 10 endoscopic operations were performed. He added that 1831 pilgrims benefited from the services of the virtual hospital.

For his part, Colonel Talal Al-Shalhoub reiterated that the process of ascending the pilgrims to Arafat was completed at 8:15 am, and the pilgrims performed Dhuhr and Asr prayers at the Namera Mosque, safely and securely.

Al-Shalhoub added: “The second phase of the Mashaer (holy sites ) Journey is currently being implemented to transport pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah and Mina. The pilgrims who walk on foot through the roads designated for them, and supporting the organization of transportation with frequent trips, and organize crowds at the entrances and exits of the Mashaer train stations.

He pointed out that the Hajj security forces in Muzdalifah and Mina, and the Grand Holy Mosque, carry out their duties in preparation for receiving the arrival of the pilgrims at Muzdalifah and their return to Mina and later heading for the Grand Holy Mosque to perform the circumambulation (Tawaf), to ensure their security and safety, and to manage their movements between their places of residence, the Jamarat facility, and the Grand Holy Mosque, and to organize crowds to throw Jamrat Al-Aqaba and perform Tawaf Al-Ifadah.

The security spokesperson noted that the seasonal administrative committees of the General Directorate of Passports at the entrances to the Holy City issued 23 administrative decisions against several violators for transporting people unauthorized to perform Hajj, until 9/12/1443 AH.

He underscored the commitment of the pilgrims and their adherence to the regulations and instructions streamlining the performance of the ritual, reiterating the importance of abiding by the regulations and instructions, and adhering to the timings, paths, and routes designated for throwing Jamrat Al-Aqaba and performing Tawaf Al-Ifadhah, and taking this into account when going to perform rituals and when returning to their places of residence.

The official spokesman for the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Eng. Hisham Saeed, announced the successful completion of the grouping operations to Muzdalifah, where the ascending of pilgrims to the Arafat area was completed an hour and a half before the target time, noting that the ascendence to Arafat is one of the most important stages due to the diversity of flow points of pilgrims, as some of them arrive from Makkah while others come from the reception and gathering points of local pilgrims, in addition to the pilgrims who spent the day of Tarwiyah (water provision).

Eng. Hisham Saeed stressed that these efforts are the result of the regularity of the frequency of the movement of the frequency transport and Al-Mashaer train, highlighting that at 7:30 the process of flocking to Muzdalifah started in coordination with the traffic control points responsible for those paths through public and frequency transport and the Mashaer train, taking into account the time and schedule and the needs of the pilgrims, as some prefer to stay overnight in Muzdalifah and some want to go directly to Mina.

Pilgrims Perform Maghrib and Isha Prayers at Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah

Muzdalifah, July 08, 2022, SPA – The pilgrims of the Grand Holy Mosque performed today Maghrib and Isha prayers at the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah, following their arrival at Muzdalifah after ascending in Arafat, amid integrated services provided by the governmental sectors serving the pilgrims in order to perform their rituals in peace and security.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has prepared the Grand Holy Mosque with the needs, in addition to awareness and guidance programs related to the Hajj rituals.

General Authority for Statistics: Total number of pilgrims for Hajj season reached 899,353

Muzdalifah, The General Authority for Statistics announced today that the total number of pilgrims for this year reached (899,353), including (779,919) pilgrims from outside the Kingdom through various ports, while the number of pilgrims from inside reached (119,434) pilgrims, both citizens and residents.

In its statistical results for this year’s Hajj 1443 AH, the authority indicated that the number of male pilgrims out of the total number of local and foreign pilgrims reached (486,458), while the number of female pilgrims out of the total number of local and foreign pilgrims reached (412,895).

Regarding the statistics of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, the General Authority for Statistics stated that the percentage of pilgrims from Arab countries reached 21.4%, while the percentage of pilgrims from Asian countries except for Arab countries reached 53.8%, while the percentage of pilgrims from African countries except for Arab countries was ( 13.2%), and the percentage of pilgrims from Europe, America and Australia reached 11.6%.

As for the ways of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, (738,680) pilgrims arrived through airports, while (35,210) pilgrims arrived through land ports, and (6,029) pilgrims through seaports.

Saudi Red Crescent Authority Provides Emergency Services in Holy Sites to Serve Pilgrims

Arafat, The President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Jalal Al-Owaisi, confirmed the readiness of the fleet and emergency cadres equipped with the technologies that would facilitate the process of reaching the pilgrims through the reports received at the medical transfer center, in addition to harnessing all medical cadres and human capabilities to serve the pilgrims.

In his speech to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Owaisi said that the Authority has started providing emergency services in the holy sites through its health cadres, with1288 paramedics, 1250 volunteers, and logistical support that included 335 people.

He added that the Authority provided 192 ambulances, 128 advanced response vehicles, 23 motorcycles, 6 air ambulances, and 4 golf carts.

Al-Owaisi indicated that the Authority has developed a rapid response unit to deal with multiple injuries and disasters, may Allah forbid, during the Hajj season, which includes a multi-tasking vehicles that are located in the holy sites.

Mare “Ekleel Athba” wins purebred Arabian horse race in UK

Riyadh, Athba Racing, owned by Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, achieved its second win this week, with the mare “Ekleel Athba” achieving its second successive victory in its racing record.

The achievement came with the mare achieving the 1200-meter race designated for purebred Arabian horses in Newbury Square, UK, and the mare “Bayan Athba”, which is produced and owned by Athba Racing, came in second place. Athba Stables still tops the list of the Arabian Horse Racing Organization in the UK as the best owner in the United Kingdom, as the horse “Kafu Athba” achieved the best performance, while Athba Stables coach “Philip Collington” topped the list of the best trainer until yesterday, July 7th.
