Qatar Stock Exchange Index Ends Trading Higher by 1.37%

Doha– The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange ended trading higher today, gaining 171.540 points, or 1.37 %, to reach the level of 12,709.12 points.

The volume of traded shares amounted to 197,471,894, with a value of QAR 597,748,781, through executing 12,709 deals in all sectors.

In the session, the shares of 20 companies rose, while the prices of 23 other companies declined, while one company remained stable.

KSrelief Mobile Medical Clinics Provide its Services to 3,316 Beneficiaries in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen

Hajjah– The mobile medical clinics of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) have provided its medical services in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen.

During June 2022, the clinics received 3,316 beneficiaries with various health conditions in different clinics and departments, and provided them with necessary medical services.

The KSrelief’s clinics also provided 1,658 individuals with medications.

Saudi Central Bank Issues Second Annual Report For Finance Companies 2021

Riyadh– The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) issued its second annual report on the performance of the Saudi financing sector. The report outlined the developments and findings in the financing sector, in addition to the financial results for the year 2021.

This initiative came to reaffirm SAMA’s commitment to providing accurate and up-to-date information about the performance of national finance companies.

The report focused on key elements of the statement of financial position and income statement of national finance companies in 2021, as well as the overall sector’s financial portfolio, profitability, return on investment, and leverage ratios. Furthermore, it categorized the financing portfolios of individuals and of micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME), and provided information on non-performing loans, size of new funds, Saudization ratio in managerial positions, and the number of employees in the financing companies.

Global Leaders Program in Partnership with Georgetown University Celebrates Female Leaders in Indonesia

Riyadh– The Global Leaders Program, in partnership with the US Georgetown University (McDonough School of Business), celebrates this year the fourth batch of its ambitious academic program to develop Women’s leadership skills, and enable them to fulfill the requirements of assuming leadership positions, in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, which hosts the G20 Summit for the year 2022.

The Program’s founder and general supervisor, Georgetown, Nouf bint Abdullah Al-Rakan, said “the program includes women leaders of diverse cultures from 20 countries who have shared their various experiences and specializations, and aspire to develop them so that they can work and lead effectively, and participate in the institutional development process in their workplaces.”

She added that the program seeks to qualify women to lead globally with rich content and experiences, indicating that this represents the program’s first physically -attended session since its launch in 2020, with the participation of female leaders from Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, the US, and other countries.

Egypt Condemns Attack in Iraqi Kurdistan

Cairo– Egypt condemned the attack that targeted a tourist resort in Dohuk Governorate in Iraqi Kurdistan, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians, stressing the need to respect the principles and decisions of international law related to the protection of civilians.

In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Egypt affirmed its full support for Iraq’s sovereignty over its territory and its support for the measures taken by the Iraqi government to preserve the security and stability of the country and the capabilities of the Iraqi people. The ministry also expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to all injured.

Kuwait Condemns Attack that Targeted Resort in Iraq

Kuwait– The State of Kuwait expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a resort in Dohuk Governorate in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of people.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, in a statement, that this attack represents a flagrant violation of Iraq’s sovereignty, international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and international norms and conventions, stressing Kuwait’s solidarity with Iraq, supporting all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.

The ministry also offered the condolences of Kuwait to the Government and people of Iraq as well as to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
