Jeddah– President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal left Jeddah today, after performing Umrah.

At King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was seen off by Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, and a number of senior officials.

PIF Launches National Real Estate Registration Services Company

Riyadh– The Public Investment Fund “PIF” today announced the launch of the National Real Estate Registration Services Company “RER”, which aims to contribute to the digitization and development of the local real estate sector through a comprehensive digital platform, in cooperation with the Real Estate General Authority and other government entities. “RER” aims to develop a digital platform to build a comprehensive real estate registration database covering all data of units of property in Saudi Arabia. The company will also provide property registration services according to best-in-field practices.

The National Real Estate Registration Services Company also aims to improve the quality of services and access for beneficiaries by developing procedures and mechanisms for registration. The company will adopt digital solutions to create a real estate registration database that includes public, commercial, residential and agricultural units and their geolocation data. This move will contribute to the sustainable development of the sector and promote transparency in real estate services and transactions.

Co-Head of MENA Direct Investments at PIF Raid Ismail said: ”We are delighted to launch the National Real Estate Registration Services Company. The new company’s use of advanced digital solutions in its operations, enabling it to link its platform to all relevant government entities, will enhance reliability and transparency in real estate services and data in Saudi Arabia. This in turn will increase the attractiveness of the investment ecosystem, and grow the value of national real estate assets.”

The establishment of the company is in line with PIF’s strategy, which focuses on enabling and unlocking the capabilities of key sectors in Saudi Arabia, including real estate. The move is also part of the Fund’s initiative to employ advanced technology to support the national economy in accomplishing Vision 2030 objectives.

Saudi Stock Exchange Main Index Ends Trading Higher at 12,194.29 Points

Riyadh– Saudi Stock Exchange’s main index ended trading higher here today, gaining 51.64 points to close at 12,194.29 points.

The total value of the trading reported was SAR 4.5 billion, while the toll of shares traded was 112 million, divided into over 290,000 deals.

The Saudi Parallel Market Index (NOMU) ended the day gaining 313.49 points, to close at 21,640.25 points, with a valuation of SAR 23 million and an overall tally of more than 420,000 stocks traded and divided into as many as 2,086 deals.

Iraq Participates in the Eager Lion Maneuvers in Jordan

Baghdad / NINA / – The Eager Lion maneuvers, which will continue until September 15, were launched in Jordan, with the participation of 27 countries, including Iraq, and include operations on combating terrorism and threats of weapons of mass destruction.

A statement by the Jordanian army stated that this is the tenth session of the exercises organized on the territory of the Kingdom, which aims to joint work in the field of combating terrorism, developing security capabilities and cooperation between agencies and institutions of different countries to respond to security threats and internal crises.

The statement added: This exercise was designed on scenarios that simulate the reality, conditions and challenges facing the whole world, including the threat of terrorism… and simulating new threats such as the use of weapons of mass destruction of various types.

The statement said: During the exercise, many meetings and seminars will be held that will bring together senior military leaders and figures, the aim of which will be to discuss the most important problems and dilemmas facing the world on the security level and how to address them.

The exercises are being held in the fields of the Jordanian Armed Forces, command and control centers, the King Abdullah Center for Special Operations Training, and the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, with the participation of various types of land, air and sea weapons.

According to the statement, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Kazakhstan, Austria, Sweden, Cyprus, Kenya, Greece, Poland, Belgium, Pakistan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Morocco, in addition to Jordan, will participate in these maneuvers, according to the statement.

The last maneuvers were conducted for the period from August 25 to September 5, 2019, before the spread of the Corona pandemic, with the participation of 28 countries.

Maneuvers were also conducted in 2018, with Jordanian-American participation only, during the period from April 15 to 26, in which 3,500 American soldiers participated.

Wildfire in Northern Kazakhstan Spreads Over 106,000 Acres

Nur-Sultan– Raging wildfire in northern Kazakhstan has engulfed over 43,000 hectares (106,255 acres) of land by Sunday morning, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Yuri Ilyin, told reporters, according to Sputnik.

“The wildfire has burnt over 43,000 hectares of land in total,” the minister said.

The blaze grew over 4.5 times compared to Saturday night, when it spread across the area of 9,400 hectares.

The fire is likely to grow even further in eight active zones, Ilyin said, adding that firefighting efforts are continuing.

The wildfire broke out in Kazakhstan’s Kostanay Province on Friday and spread quickly over a large swath of land.

Eleven freight trains and six passenger trains were delayed this weekend amid the fires. At least five firefighter trains and hundreds of firefighters are involved in extinguishing the Kostanay blaze.

Over 1,800 people have been evacuated. At least ten, including one minor, were injured in the blaze and one person died.

Mawhiba Reviews Success of Research Programs before 2022 European Council for High Ability in the Netherlands

Riyadh– The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has reviewed its successful experience in research programs at the 18th European Council for High Ability (ECHA), which was held in The Hague in the Netherlands between August 31 and September 3, 2022.

Director General of the Excellence Center Dr. Khalid Al-Sharif participated with a scientific paper titled “Improving Mawhiba research programs… investigative analysis for future executive recommendations,” which he reviewed on the first day of the scientific program of the conference, where the paper included the mechanism that Mawhiba adopted to increase the quality level of student research and how that enabled it to receive 22 major awards in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), in addition to receiving the award of the best researcher in the world by one of Mawhiba students.

Dr. Al-Sharif went over Mawhiba’s efforts in caring for the talented and its approach in offering research programs, in comparison with scientific programs and providing recommendations in the field of developing sponsorship and in the field of research for talented students.

The conference saw the participation of specialists in the field of caring for the talented from the USA, Europe and Africa with scientific papers, workshops and lectures on several aspects, such as innovative educational practices, supporting the development of talents, self-development, connecting research and practice with useful ways, the necessity of engaging every educated person, considering students’ opinions, and creating new norms in a bid to invest in talents throughout age.

The 2022 ECHA aims at creating an exceptional communication opportunity for teachers, researchers, psychologists and parents and enhancing the exchange of information among people concerned in this field, in the presence of more than 800 people from 15 countries, where three of Mawhiba students (Abdulrahman Al-Fheid, Rafif Hubani, and Hanin Al-Tamar) participated in the conference to exchange ideas, expertise and culture with a group of participants from across the world.

Scores of Extremist Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jerusalem– Dozens of Jewish extremist settlers early Sunday broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif compound in occupied East Jerusalem, Jordanian News Agency (Petra) reported.

The Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs said in a statement that today’s raid was conducted through al-Magharebah Gate in successive groups under the heavy protection of Israeli special police.

“The settlers performed Talmudic rituals, provocatively toured the Mosque’s yards, and listened to explanations about the purported “Temple Mount” amid a state of anger inside the compound,” it added.

KSrelief’s Masam Project Dismantles 734 Mines in Yemen During One Week

Riyadh– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project (Masam) for clearing mines in Yemen, dismantled, during the first week of September 2022, a total of 734 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen, including 10 anti-personnel mines, 306 anti-tank mines, 415 unexploded ordnance and 3 explosive devices.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 356,758 mines have been dismantled.

The Kingdom Donates $3.5 Million to Two Initiatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency (ReNuAL2 and ZODIAC) to Support the Agency’s Efforts in Ensuring the Safe and Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technology

Riyadh– The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced its donation of $2.5 million towards the initiative of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to modernize its Seibersdorf laboratories (ReNuAL2), which will contribute to strengthening the nuclear and radiological regulatory capabilities to maximize the uses of nuclear techniques and provide resources and services to IAEA member states to ensure the safe use of nuclear technology.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has also announced its donation of $1 million to support the IAEA’s initiative for Zoonotic Diseases Integrated Action (ZODIAC), launched by the IAEA to help prevent the outbreaks of infectious zoonotic diseases with the use of nuclear techniques and strengthen the preparedness and response, and early detection of their causes.

These donations represent an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continuous support for the efforts of the IAEA and its initiatives aimed at developing its capabilities in a way that enhances its vital role in harnessing the atom for peace and confirms the Kingdom’s positive stance towards matters related to using nuclear energy and technology and their peaceful and safe development.

Dar es Salaam– King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) inaugurated on Friday the voluntary medical project for cardiac surgeries and catheterization in the United Republic of Tanzania, which was implemented during the period from August 28 to September 10, 2022.

The KSrelief’s medical voluntary team examined 118 individuals and performed 6 open-heart surgeries and 8 catheterization surgeries.

The project comes as a part of the voluntary medical projects implemented by the KSrelief to help individuals and families with low incomes in the needy countries.

Riyadh International Book Fair will be held from September 29 to October 8,2022, in Riyadh Front, and organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission.

It is worth mentioning that choosing Tunisia as the guest of honor comes within the relations that bind the two brotherly peoples of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, and as part of the joint efforts of the two countries to enhance cooperation in the cultural field.
