Baghdad The Chinese Ambassador to Baghdad, Cui Wei, affirmed that the strategic agreement with Iraq will take important steps in order for the Iraqis to feel China’s desire to develop their country.

In response to a question by the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), the Chinese Ambassador said, “I believe that “the agreements signed at the Chinese-Arab and bilateral summit with every former Arab country are not different.”

He pointed out, “The cooperation agreements signed were discussed before the bilateral meetings, and all agreements were discussed before signing, and they reinforce bilateral agreements with every Arab country.”

Baghdad The Chinese Ambassador, Cui Wei, affirmed his country’s support for Iraq in preserving its security, stability, strategic relationship, and economic reconstruction.

He said in a press conference attended by NINA that the Chinese-Iraqi partnership is very important and Iraq is an important strategic partner, especially in the Silk Belt Road.

Wei added that the relationship and cooperation between the two countries is at a high level and covers all fields.

He explained that the recent Chinese-Arab summit in Riyadh affirmed the commitment of the two parties to the Arab-Chinese strategy and the call for multipolarity and the strengthening of Chinese-Arab cooperation in the Silk Belt Road.

He continued, China signed several agreements with the Arab League and the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding the road belt, space and cooperation in various fields.

He stressed that the Palestinian cause is the most important issue for the Arab and Islamic worlds, and the Chinese president attaches great importance to the Palestinian cause, stressing that China supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full membership in the United Nations and always stands with the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights.

Wei stressed China’s rejection of any interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries and supports their independence and work for construction and reconstruction. The Chinese side is committed to cooperating with Arab countries in the issue of new development.

He said cooperation between China and Arab countries goes hand in hand for common interests.

Wei said that the cooperation between China and Iraq was further strengthened by the president’s meeting with the Iraqi prime minister in Riyadh, and this is the starting point for the relationship between China and Iraq, since Iraq was one of the first Arab countries to establish relations with China, which were strengthened by a strategic relationship in 2015.

Wei noted that the Chinese side will continue to support Iraq in maintaining its security and stability, strategic relationship, economic and industrial reconstruction, sustainable development, and improving the conditions of its people.

He expressed his country’s appreciation for Iraq’s role in strengthening Arab-Chinese cooperation and advancing the relationship between the two sides to a higher level, and to have a lot of business with Iraq in the coming year.

Wei said that the population of China and the Arab countries is a quarter of the world’s population, and they are important members in the international arena. Therefore, this summit has great importance at the international level by going beyond bilateral and regional cooperation. This summit proves the strengthening of the comprehensive relationship between ancient civilizations, joint work for the benefit of humanity, and adherence to justice and progress.

He stressed that the relationship between China and Iraq is comprehensive to all regions of the country and we are looking for the possibility of new opportunities in the region and cooperation is comprehensive to all regions.

He reaffirmed his country that the relationship between China and any country or group of countries does not target any third party, and we work according to this principle. We do not care about any reactions from any third party, which is evidence of miscalculation. The Arab countries have existed for a long time and the last summit is to reach a bright future and a higher level.

Wei expressed his belief that the agreements at the recent and previous bilateral summits are not different because the cooperation agreements signed were discussed before the bilateral meetings and all agreements were discussed before the signing.

He said that the high-level visits are being studied in Beijing, and that we do not have any information about Sudani’s visit to China.

Wei stressed the existence of common desires between the Arab world and China to develop relations. The recent summit gave a new starting point for joint cooperation, and the two parties will work to maintain peace and development in the world.

Baghdad The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of strong cooperation relations between Iraq and Lebanon.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement, “Rasheed received, today, Wednesday, at the Baghdad Palace, the head of the Lebanese Parliamentary Coalition, MP,A Nabil Badr.”

During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed “the importance of the strong cooperation relations between the two countries, and the need to strengthen them in a way that achieves the mutual interests of the two brotherly peoples,” wishing “that the political situation in Lebanon will witness more progress and stability.”

For his part, Badr expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic, appreciating the “Iraqi positions in support of Lebanon and its people,” and stressed “the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries.”
