Bioventure, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals and MiGenTra Sign an Exclusive Agreement for the Commercialization of Multiple Biosimilar Candidates of Alvotech in the Middle East and Africa

BERLIN, CAIRO and DUBAI, UAE, Nov. 30, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Bioventure, a Dubai-based pharmaceutical company, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals, a Cairo-based pharmaceutical company, and MiGenTra GmbH, a Berlin-based pharmaceutical company, announced today the signing of an exclusive license agreement for the commercialization of multiple biosimilar candidates developed and manufactured by Alvotech, in Egypt and eighteen additional countries in Africa and the Middle East (the “Territory”).

According to the agreement, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals and MiGenTra GmbH will share responsibilities in the Territory to file, launch and commercialize Alvotech’s portfolio of licensed biosimilars once approved, under Bioventure’s exclusive strategic partnership with Alvotech in the region. All other terms and product details in the agreement remain confidential.

Al-Sudani directs the Ministry of Labor to shelter a girl who is sleeping on the ground north of Baghdad

BaghdadThe Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, directed the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to shelter a girl who appeared in a video clip as she was lying on the ground on Al-Taji Bridge, north of Baghdad.

A government source said, “The Prime Minister followed up the case of a 12-year-old girl who appeared in a video clip on the ground on the Taji Bridge, and directed the Ministry of Labor immediately to address her issue, shelter her in one of the shelters, provide everything she needs, and provide her with identification documents.”

The French President calls for a just peace to end the Russian-Ukrainian war

Baghdad – French President Emmanuel Macron called today, Thursday, for achieving a just peace to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, while confirming that he would contact Russian President Vladimir Putin soon.

Macron said in an interview with (ABC) network during his visit to the United States of America: “He held in-depth talks with US President Joseph Biden and they dealt with the file of the Russian-Ukrainian war,” noting that he would speak with Putin in the coming days.

The French President called for a “permanent peace” to end the conflict in Ukraine. He said, “A just peace is the main way to end the war.”

Egyptian Ministry of culture meets Iraq’s invitation to participate in the Forum of Ancient Civilizations

Baghdad The Iraqi Ambassador to Cairo, its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Dulaimi, met the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Nevin Al-Kilani, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement, “The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the cultural, heritage and civilizational field, and discussed the possibility of cooperation and partnership between Iraq and Egypt in international events and forums. “

The ambassador stressed, “the importance of the participation of the Egyptian Minister of Culture in the Forum of Ancient Civilizations in its sixth edition, to be held in Baghdad on 12/4/2022, which aims to enhance communication and exchange experiences between different peoples and cultures sharing an ancient cultural heritage.”

Al-Shammari confirms from Basra the need to fight drugs and money laundering

Baghdad The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari stressed that: “Drugs are no less dangerous than terrorism.” He directed the Director of Intelligence in Basra Governorate to evaluate the work of the Directorate’s officers within three months.

The Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement: “Al-Shammari visited a number of government departments and institutions in Basra Governorate, and was briefed on the work of the Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence in the governorate and combating crime.”

It added: “Al-Shammari conducted a series of meetings with the families of the martyrs and wounded heroes, and listened to their requests and needs and directed them to be met in accordance with the law and the approved contexts.”

The Minister of Interior visited the Intelligence Directorate in the province, and stressed: “Drugs are no less dangerous than terrorism, and they must be fought vigorously, and the money laundering file should be followed up,” stressing “activating the intelligence effort in all regions of Basra.”

Al-Shammari directed the director of intelligence to evaluate “the work of the directorate’s officers within three months,” stressing “the necessity of changing the course of action for the better, proper construction for all officers, and not allowing any security breach to occur .”

The Minister of the Interior affirmed that those who fail to perform their duties and abide by them, or who take bribes or whose work is corrupt, will be punished.

He pointed out the necessity of preserving the security and safety of Basra Governorate, which is preparing for the 25th Gulf Championship, indicating that he will personally follow up on the success of this upcoming tournament.

Oil prices decline … affected by the contraction of the Chinese economy

Baghdad – Oil prices declined in early Asian trading, today, Thursday, affected by the contraction of the Chinese economy.

Brent crude futures fell 26 cents, or 0.30%, to $86.71 a barrel by 04:10 GMT, while US West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 16 cents, or 0.20%, to $80.39.

Oil prices fell 1.5% for the week due to the recession and Chinese business activity contracting further in November, official PMI data showed on Wednesday, adding to concerns about the year ahead.

Baghdad – The exchange rates of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar slightly increased in the local market today, Thursday.

The selling price of the dollar recorded 149,600 dinars, and the purchase price at 149,500 dinars, for every 100 dollars.

Oil prices continue to recover and exceed $88 a barrel

BaghdadOil prices continued to recover, for the second day, exceeding $88 a barrel.

Brent crude futures contracts recorded $88.56 a barrel, up by 1.8% from Wednesday’s closing price of $86.97.

US crude oil rose more than 2% in futures contracts, recording $82.15 a barrel, while it had closed yesterday at $80.55 a barrel.
