Al-Majd beats al-Wahda 3-2 within Syrian football first league

Syrian Al-Majd football team beat its counterpart al-Wahda 3-2 on Thursday in a match that was held at al-Jala stadium within the 15th round of the First League.

Sayah Nae’m scored two goals, Nidal Mohammad one goal for al-Majd, while Rami Amer scored two goals for al-Wahda.

With this win, al-Majd obtained 9 points in the 10th place, while al-Wahda remained in the 9th place.

President al-Assad receives more congratulatory cables from heads of Arab and foreign states on Independence Day

President Bashar al-Assad received more cables of congratulatory from kings and heads of Arab and foreign states on the 77th anniversary of the Independence Day, with the leaders wishing the country further stability and growth.

His excellency received cables from King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan His Majesty King Abdullah II, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, King of Malaysia His Majesty Al Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, Vo Van Thuong the President of Vietnam, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, along with Nicaragua’s Vice-President Rosario Murillo.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres also sent congratulatory cable to President al-assad on this occasion.

Many cables from other Arab and foreign leaders on this significant occasion were sent on April 17th to President al-Assad .

Major General Rasool: The results of the autopsy of Saad Kambash will be officially announced at a later time

The Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, announced that the results of the autopsy of Saad Kambesh, which explains the causes of death, will be officially announced at a later time.

Rasool said in a press statement that the security services have sufficient information and the names of those who planned and helped Saad Kambash escape.

Exposing the circumstances of a murder and arresting the perpetrators, east of Baghdad

The Federal Police revealed the circumstances of a murder and arrested the perpetrators, east of Baghdad, in record time.

A statement by the Federal Police Command stated that with a security and intelligence effort that was distinguished by speed and accuracy, and after receiving news from a citizen of a murder in “Al-Nahrawan” area in Baghdad, a joint force from the First Brigade, First Division, Federal Police was able to support the intelligence effort, and by conducting search, investigation and collection information operations and follow-up of the surveillance camera system, from revealing the circumstances of the murder and arresting five suspects of the crime in (Al-Nahrawan) area, where the perpetrators were duly handed over to the competent authority to complete the necessary investigative and legal procedures against them.

Saudi Handball Team Wins Silver at 5th Arab Championship

The Saudi handball youth team won the silver medal in the 5th Arab Handball Championship, having lost 25-34 to the Tunisian team in the final match held at Salle Rachad Khouja in Tunis.

Saudi Murtaja Al-Khadrawe was awarded best player, while his team-mates Hussein Farij and Ali Al Mohsenwho won the best right wing and the best playmaker, respectively.

Ministry of Islamic Affairs Provides about 10 million Advocacy Services for Umrah Performers during Ramadan

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic

Awareness in Hajj, Umrah, and Visit, has provided 9,914,665 advocacy and guidance services since the launch of the second phase of Islamic awareness work in the last month of Sha’ban until the twenty-ninth day of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH.

These services include preaching ceremonies and scientific lessons in international languages, as well as fatwa services, electronic screen messages, and educational text messages. Around 7,920,805 people have benefited from these services.

Crowds of Worshipers Witness Completion of Quran Recitation at Prophet’s Mosque

Taraweeh Prayer on the 29th night of the month of Ramadan, in a spiritual atmosphere dominated by reassurance, tranquillity and calmness

Since the early hours of the day, the corridors, squares, roofs, and expansions of the Prophet’s Mosque have worshipers and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom. The roads and areas are adjacent to the mosque also saw extended rows of people who were keen to witness the completion of the Holy Quran.

Sheikh Salah Al-Badir, the imam and preacher of the Prophet’s Mosque, led the worshipers and prayed for the forgiveness of Muslims on this blessed night.

In coordination with the relevant authorities, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Holy Mosque has been keen to fully prepare the Prophet’s Mosque and put in place all the necessary arrangements to maintain the safety and comfort of the visitors. This is following the directives of the wise leadership in providing all services to the Prophet’s Mosque and its visitors.

HM The Sultan Pardons Prisoners

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a Royal pardon to a number of prisoners convicted of different cases.

They included 162 prisoners, 94 of them are foreign prisoners, according to an official source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

The Royal pardon of His Majesty the Sultan coincides with Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birth anniversary 1445 AH and in consideration of families of the prisoners.

HM The Sultan to Perform Eid Al Fitr Prayers at Al Khor Mosque

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will perform Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Khor Mosque in the Governorate of Muscat, said a statement by the Diwan of Royal Court today. The text of the statement reads as follows:

“On the advent of the first day of Shawwal; happy days of Eid Al Fitr 1444 AH, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will perform Eid Al Fitr prayers at Al Khor Mosque in the Governorate of Muscat.

Along with His Majesty the Sultan, the Eid Al Fitr prayers will also be attended by their highnesses members of the Royal Family, ministers, undersecretaries, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and other security units and ambassadors of the Islamic countries accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

On the blessed occasion, the Diwan of Royal Court is honored to extend sincere greetings to the Monarch of the country, praying to Allah the Almighty to perpetuate good health and happiness on His Majesty. The Diwan also prayed to Allah to grant His Majesty a long life and protect him to be a source of pride for his people. The Diwan also appealed to Allah for the return of this blessed and similar occasions at a time His Majesty, the Arab and Islamic nations enjoy bounties of welfare and prosperity.”
