Minister of Defense Thabet Al-Abbasi allocated two planes to evacuate Iraqi nationals stranded in Sudan.

The media office of the Minister of Defense stated that: “Under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, the Minister of Defense allocated two planes to evacuate Iraqi nationals stranded in Sudan.”

Minister Of The Interior: The Iraqi People, With All Their Sects, Support The Palestinian Cause

The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, affirmed today, Wednesday, that the Iraqi people, with all their sects, support the Palestinian cause.

A statement by the ministry stated that the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, discussed, at the ministry’s headquarters, with his Palestinian counterpart, Major General Ziyad Hab Al-Rih, bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation frameworks in fields and issues that serve the interests of the two brotherly countries.

Al-Shammari stressed, “The Iraqi people, with all their sects, are supportive of the Palestinian cause, appreciating the historical depth that connects Iraq with Palestine, indicating that the security situation in the country is very good and that the Ministry of Interior forces have received the security file for five provinces, and work is continuing in this field.”

For his part, the Palestinian minister expressed his satisfaction with his presence in the capital, Baghdad, stressing that “this visit has very important positive effects on the regional level, describing Iraq as a source of honesty and strength, praising the great efforts that have been made to eliminate terrorism, wishing Iraq and its people more stability.” He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister for the kind reception and welcome.

The statement concluded, “Al-Rih visited the headquarters of the Border Forces Command in Baghdad, and watched a brief presentation of the achievements and championships of the Border Forces Command, as well as the security fortifications with neighboring countries.”

Finance and National Economy Minister, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa met with UK’s Minister of State in the Department for Business and Trade, Lord Dominic Johnson.

The meeting discussed investment cooperation and reviewed the latest international economic developments.

The finance minister reviewed the historical Bahrain-UK relations.
