On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held today at the Royal Court at Mina Palace the annual audience for Their Excellencies Presidents, Prime Ministers, senior Islamic dignitaries, guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, guests of government agencies, and heads of delegations and offices of pilgrims affairs who performed Hajj this year.
At the outset of the ceremony, HRH the Crown Prince shook hands with King Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah of Malaysia; President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal; President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammed Shahabuddin; President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi; Vice President of the Republic of the Maldives Faisal Naseem; Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly; Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Najib Mikati; Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre; Prime Minister of the Republic of Niger Ouhoumoudou Mahamadou; Prime Minister of State of Palestine Mohammad Ibrahim Shtayyeh, and the Speakers of the House of Representatives of several Islamic countries.
A speech ceremony was held on the occasion.
At the outset of the ceremony, verses of the Holy Quran were recited.
HRH the Crown Prince delivered a speech on this occasion. Following is the full text:
“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Dear brothers and sisters, and pilgrims:
Dear attendees:
May the peace, blessings, and mercy of Allah be upon you:
I am pleased, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to greet you from the vicinity of the Grand Mosque and to congratulate the pilgrims and the Islamic nation on the blessed Eid Al-Adha, asking Allah Almighty to accept from all of us our good deeds and to accept the Hajj ritual from the pilgrims and forgive their sins.
Since its foundation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been blessed by Allah Almighty to serve the Two Holy Mosques and take care of them and has made this at the forefront of its interests. The Kingdom has made every effort and harnessed all capabilities to provide the pilgrims comfort and tranquility.
We ask Allah Almighty to bless us and the Muslim Nation with safety and security. We ask Him to grant the pilgrims the ability to complete their rituals on these blessed days and safely return to their countries.
Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah.”
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Committee of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, delivered a speech in which he said that pilgrims have been performing their Hajj rituals with complete tranquillity, peace, and security, thanks to the support and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the intensive follow-up and directives of HRH the Crown Prince.
He said that pilgrims are enjoying high-quality services throughout their spiritual journey provided by more than 40 public sectors according to a plan that had been prepared right after the end of the previous Hajj season and is being carried out in complementary efforts by the dedicated Saudi men and women out of their religious and national duties towards the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors and in continuation of the commitment of the Saudi leadership and people to the country’s transformational projects, guided by the Saudi Vision 2030.
The minister said that the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and his constant follow-up in implementing the targets of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, including facilitating pilgrims’ arrival to the Two Holy Mosques and simplifying the visa procedures and digitalizing them under one unified multi-language platform, have had an immense contribution to achieving a record number of Umrah pilgrims, exceeding 10 million.
Al-Rabiah explained that this year saw the introduction of fair competition in serving pilgrims from abroad and the expansion of the Makkah Route Initiative, which has covered seven countries, benefiting more than 400,000 pilgrims.
After that, a speech was delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Al-Hafiz Al-Nahwi, of the Muslim World League (MWL), in which he appreciated the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in managing the Hajj seasons and serving the pilgrims.
On behalf of heads of the Hajj affairs offices, Jordanian Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalaileh also delivered a speech in which he voiced appreciation for the tremendous efforts exerted by the Saudi government under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince to serve pilgrims and enable them to perform their Hajj rituals with complete smoothness and in tranquillity and peace.
Then, the attendees were honoured to shake hands with HRH the Crown Prince.
The ceremony was attended by Prince Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz; Prince Mansour bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Saud bin Saad bin Abdulaziz; Prince Sattam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz; Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz; Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Turki, and other princes.
