Baghdad: Military units carried out an incursion on the border separating Diyala and Salah al-Din.
A military source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that military units belonging to the Diyala Operations Command carried out an incursion into the depths of Hawi al-Azim between Diyala and Salah al-Din.
He added, “The operation was carried out with the support of intelligence detachments and air support in order to achieve its goals of preventing any additions to ISIS gangs, securing roads and agricultural areas, securing the surroundings of the liberated villages near the Hawi Basin, and re-combing the area.
