Jeddah– Djiboutian Minister of Islamic Affairs, Culture and Waqf Moumin Hasan Barreh has commended the efforts exerted by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims and in caring for the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to its continuous care and support for the Islamic world and Muslims across the globe, stressing his country’s keenness to benefit from the experience and long history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims and spreading the values of tolerance and moderation.
Following a meeting with Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh yesterday, Barreh praised the distinguished and deep-rooted ties between his country and Saudi Arabia in various fields.
He also voiced his country’s approval to the precautionary procedures that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia adopted during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic regarding Hajj and umrah, which made Muslims avoid harm, until these procedures were lifted and umrah performers and pilgrims were allowed to return under health conditions that are necessary for their health.
The Djiboutian minister extended his gratitude and appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts and historical stances that supported Djibouti over decades, stressing his ministry’s keenness to further enhance communication with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
