Cardiac Catheterization at Makkah Health Cluster Saves Life of Kuwaiti Pilgrim


Arafat: A medical team at King Abdullah Medical City, member of the Makkah Health Cluster, saved the life of a Kuwaiti pilgrim who had suffered a severe heart attack.

The pilgrim had complained of severe chest pain. The hotline at the medical city was contacted, the patient was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the treatment protocol was activated without delay.

The medical team performed cardiac catheterization and coronary angioplasty, restoring the normal blood flow. The patient was placed under close observation in the cardiac intensive care unit.
