Reception ceremony on occasion of Syrian Press Day

Damascus, On the occasion of the Syrian Press Day, the Journalists Union held a reception ceremony on Sunday in the building of al-Wahda Foundation for Press, Printing and Publishing in Damascus in presence of several journalists from different media institutions in Syria.

Delivering a speech, Minister of Information, Dr. Boutros al-Hallaq, said that the next phase is for the work and the production, noting that the media has a major role at this phase and the media professionals will do their role in support of construction and building, as they did in phase of restoring security and stability before.

He underlined that the media war is still standing, and as the Syrian Arab Army personnel managed to achieve victory, the media professionals will achieve victory through teamwork.

For his part, Chairman of the Syrian Journalists Union Moussa Abdul Nour said that the journalists in Syria have performed their national and professional duty so they have been defending the unity of the Syrian soil against the injustice war in which the country has been undergoing.

Hajj Ministry Announces Arrival of First Batch of Umrah Performers from Abroad

Jeddah, The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced the arrival of the first batch of Umrah performers from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through airports, amidst a comprehensive system of services and preventive measures to preserve the health and safety of Umrah performers. The Ministry had halted accepting Umrah applications as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The phase of accepting Umrah applications from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gradually follows a previous phase that allowed citizens and residents to perform Umrah, while the Ministry, in coordination with stakeholders, is working to facilitate the arrival of Umrah performers from abroad and update the list of countries that people can directly come from. This list is prepared by relevant authorities depending on the health curves of the countries of Umrah performers.

Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdulfattah bin Sulaiman Mashat stressed that the ministry received Umrah performers coming from various countries and offered all necessary services, pointing out the importance of committing to health and preventive measures. These measures include attaching a certificate of vaccination accredited by concerned authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the country of Umrah performer, an acknowledgement of true information, and commitment to institutional quarantine that is determined by respective airlines that Umrah performers use to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per the list of countries that required Umrah performers to observe quarantine.

KSrelief Continues Supporting Nutrition Project in Yemen

Aden, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued supporting a project of nutrition for children under the age of five years old, pregnant women and nursing mothers in the governorates of Aden, Lahij, Taizz, Al-Hudaydah, Hadramout, Hajjah and Marib in Yemen.

The project aims to provide services of therapeutic feeding, safe healthcare and counseling. During the period from 17 to 23 June 2021, 12,084 individuals benefited from the project.

This comes as part of relief and humanitarian works being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the center to support the needy children, pregnant women and nursing mothers in Yemen.

Arab Parliament Condemns Houthi militia’s launching of a bomb-laden UAV towards Saudi Arabia

Cairo, The Arab Parliament has condemned Houthi terrorist militia’s launching of a bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushit, Saudi Arabia, in a systematic and deliberate way targeting civilians and civilian objects, which was intercepted and destroyed by the Coalition Forces to Restore legitimacy in Yemen.

In a statement issued today, the Arab Parliament urged the international community to condemn these terrorist attacks and to take measures that would deter these terrorist groups and those who finance and support them to target civilians and civilian objects.

The Arab Parliament also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in confronting such Houthi criminal attacks that threaten regional peace and security and to take measures that would deter these terrorist groups being led by the Iranian regime.

The Arab Parliament praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Air Defense Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, which have succeeded in intercepting and destroying UAVs.

Bahrain Reiterates Support for Saudi Arabia

Manama, Bahrain condemned the launch by the terrorist Houthi militia of an explosive-laden drone towards the city of Khamis Mushait in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry said that Houthis’ continued terrorist acts show their insistence to target safe civilians and threaten Saudi security and stability.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry commended the vigilance of the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen, which intercepted and destroyed the drone, reiterated Bahrain’s firm support for Saudi Arabia in taking all measures to defend its security, stability and territorial integrity.

Hasaka, US occupation forces brought out during the past 24 hours a convoy consists of 55 vehicles, including tankers loaded with Syrian stolen oil towards the Iraqi territory through al-Waleed illegal crossing.

Local sources in al-Yarubiyah countryside told SANA reporter that the US occupation forces brought out a convoy of 25 vehicles, including tankers filled with Syrian stolen oil, in addition to covered tankers and trucks, and refrigerators to Iraq through al-Waleed illegal crossing.

Arab and International Participation in the Crown Prince Camel Festival

Taif, Seven countries from different continents are participating in the third edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival organized in Taif Camel Square, which kicked off its activities last Sunday and has seen competition among several local and international camel owners, with 532 races, competing for a total prize pool of SR53 million.

The festivals’ official spokesman, Ahmed Al-Badr, said that the participating countries include the United States of America, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and the UAE, in addition to Saudi Arabia, adding that the participants are taking part in the preliminary rounds for all categories.

In a related context, the Saudi Camel Federation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, provided a center for Corona vaccines “Covid 19” on the premises, to ensure that all participants receive vaccinations and complete immunization jabs. The vaccination center opens its doors to beneficiaries in the evening period from 6:00 – until 9:00 pm.

10 KSrelief Trucks Cross Al-Wadiah Point to Several Yemeni Governorates

Al-Wadiah, Crossing Point, As many as 10 relief trucks of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) have crossed Al-Wadiah Point, carrying 240 tons including 30,000 cartons of dates, to Al-Bayda, Marib, Hajjah and Shabwa Governorates, Yemen.

This comes as part of a project to distribute 5,000 tons of dates being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for the Yemeni people.

Moscow calls for the return of foreign terrorists from Syria and Iraq to their countries

Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Oleg Syromolotov, called for the return of foreign terrorists from Syria to their countries, warning against attempts of “polishing” the image of “Tahrir al-Sham” terrorist organization in Idleb and showing it as a “form of political opposition.’’

“We defend for the guarantee of the inevitability to punish terrorist crimes and unify the efforts of the entire international community for these purposes,” Syromolotov said in an interview with Russian “Interfax” agency on Thursday.

He added that his country exerts efforts to evacuate Russian children from Syria and Iraq and merging them later with society.

Syromolotov stressed that Daesh terrorist organization is no longer existed in Syria as “one regional entity”, but rather it has turned into a large-scale secret terrorist network.

Carnogursky: US no longer able to put military pressure on Syria

Prague, Former Prime Minister of Slovakia, Jan Carnogursky, has affirmed that the US is no longer able to exert military pressure on Syria.

According to “Parliamentary Papers” Czech Website, Carnogursky attributed this matter to the fact that the US is no longer the only dominant power in the world, and over the upcoming years, it will be busy in resolving its internal problems.

US occupation continues to plunder Syrians’ resources

Hasaka, US occupation troops have brought out a convoy laden with stolen Syrian oil heading to Iraqi territories through the illegitimate al-Walid border crossing.

Local sources, from Rmailan area, told SANA reporter that the US occupation have brought out a convoy including 30 tanks loaded with oil, in addition to a number of covered tankers and trucks, accompanied by armors affiliated with US occupation, heading to Iraq through illegitimate al-Walid border crossing.

Last Monday, US occupation troops brought out 80 tanks laden with stolen oil from al-Jazeera region to the Iraqi territories through the same crossing.

Kuwaiti Cabinet Condemns Terrorist Houthi Militia’s Continued Threat to Saudi Arabia’s Security

Kuwait, The Kuwaiti Cabinet strongly condemned the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s continued threat to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s security.

In a statement issued following its weekly meeting yesterday, the Cabinet stated that the continuation and escalation of these aggressive practices by targeting the security of Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region and ignoring the efforts of the international community to end the conflict in Yemen constitutes a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian law.

The Kuwaiti Cabinet pointed out that this requires the international community’s rapid intervention to stop these attacks and hold the perpetrators accountable. The Cabinet stressed Kuwait’s full support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, and sovereignty.
