Salfit – Ma’an – Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army confiscated a bulldozer while working in Qarat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit.

The mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan, Ibrahim Assi, said: ‘The occupation army stormed the Al-Midan area east of the town, and confiscated a bulldozer while working on the land of citizen Theeb Marei under the pretext of working in an area classified as ‘C’ in which work is prohibited.

Assi added that the occupation army is pursuing citizens and confiscating his property under the pretext of working in areas classified as C, according to his claims.

Dubai, Emirates and flynas today signed an expanded two-way interline partnership on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), with plans to open up connections and more travel choices for flynas customers via Dubai.

The agreement was signed by Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim and flynas Group CEO and Managing Director Bander Almohanna.

Emirates’ current interline with flynas provides its customers with enhanced connectivity via its four gateways: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam, to over 15 domestic points in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also includes the convenience of single ticket itineraries with onwards booking and baggage transfers.

KSrelief Disributes Food Aid in Abasan Al Kabira, Nuseirat Governorate, Gaza


Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed yesterday 6,500 food baskets in the town of Abasan Al Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza Strip, benefitting 35,000 individuals.

It also distributed food aid to 10,000 displaced people in the Nuseirat governorate, in central Gaza Strip.

The assistance is in keeping with Saudi Arabia’s historic role in supporting the brotherly Palestinian people in times of crisis.

Ramallah – Ma’an – A statement issued by the Public Relations and Media Department of the Customs Police Agency stated that during the month of April, the agency dealt with 201 cases in cooperation with the civilian partner agencies and the competent security services, within the framework of combating the phenomenon of smuggling in all its forms and protecting the national economy.

The statement indicated that The cases were divided between tax and customs cases, in addition to cases related to the economic, health, agricultural and public safety fields.

The details of the statement stated that the agency dealt with:

81 cases in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance to improve state revenues and supply the treasury with funds, which are detailed as follows:

_ 55 tax and customs cases were seized and taxpayers were transferred to the Ministry to complete their commercial transactions.

_ 19 cases of goods coming from Israel that did not carry a clearing invoice were seized.

-7 issues in the field of s
muggled tobacco that is banned from circulation due to its economic harm and depletion of the state treasury.

– 92 cases were dealt with in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy to prevent the spread of illegal goods and settlement goods, and they are detailed as follows:

– Approximately 96 tons of expired materials were seized and delivered to the competent authorities

– 7 tons (of food supplies, cosmetics, and cosmetics) that did not carry an identification card were seized. In Arabic and materials violating the mandatory technical instructions.

Riyadh: The Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control has launched a training program to bolster early cancer detection efforts across the region.

The initiative, undertaken in collaboration with the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), aims to equip healthcare professionals with the skills needed to identify cancer in its earliest stages.

The program will train a group of instructors from Gulf countries for five months on the basics of preparing and evaluating early cancer detection methods.

The training will encompass both in-person and remote learning modules. Practical tasks will be integrated in the program, providing valuable hands-on experience.

This collaborative effort aligns with the center’s broader vision of strengthening regional public health training in non-communicable diseases, and building human capacity across the Gulf.

GCC Keen on Exploring Further Opportunities for Cooperation with CARICOM, Albudaiwi Says


Paramaribo, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said that the GCC countries attach great importance to their relations with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and are keen on exploring further opportunities for trade, investment, economy, and tourism cooperation, to benefit from the potential member states of both organizations have.

Speaking at the 16th Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean, which commenced yesterday in Paramaribo, Suriname, Albudaiwi said: “The joint ministerial meeting between the GCC and the Caribbean Community, held on September 18, 2023, in New York, confirmed the ambitious desire of the foreign ministers of the GCC countries to build stronger cooperation relations with the Caribbean countries. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding and a joint action plan (2023-2027) that identified the main objectives and mechanisms for political dialogue, trade facilitation, investment promotion, and tourism cooperation. It will contribute to
increasing trade and investment flows between the two regions, as well as cooperation between the two sides in all international forums, and coordination of their joint efforts to address the global economy’s challenges.”

The forum is held under the patronage of President of the Republic of Suriname Chan Santokhi, and is attended by high-level personalities from CARICOM and representatives of several other countries and organizations.

Albudaiwi said that the GCC’s participation in the forum ‘carries two important messages. The first is a practical step toward developing a close and long-term partnership that serves our interests and achieves our desired goals. Second, it is evidence of the readiness, seriousness, and commitment of the GCC to enhance our relationship with the Caribbean Community through the implementation of the joint action plan that was adopted last year.”

Albudaiwi also presented figures, statistics, and achievements accomplished by the GCC countries at regional and global levels, which
earned them a place among the strongest economies in the world and made them an attraction for all these economies.

Albudaiwi said that all GCC member states, through their ambitious economic vision, aspire to build an economic bloc characterized by sustainable development, shared prosperity, a world free from poverty, and the ability to confront global economic challenges that require a commitment to shared values and objectives, to ensure a more prosperous, just, and sustainable global future.
