Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation Distributes 120 Electric Wheelchairs to Beneficiaries in Makkah and Madinah

Makkah: Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation for People with Mobility Disabilities has distributed 120 electric wheelchairs in the regions of Makkah and Madinah to improve the lives of people with mobility disabilities and enable them to participate effectively in various aspects of life.

A member of the foundation’s Council of the General Assembly Mudhi Al-Quraini said that the distribution aims to strengthen community cooperation and expand the scope of assistance to needy groups. It also reflects the national and humanitarian spirit that characterizes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Quraini added that the distribution emphasizes the importance of cooperation between different sectors and non-profit organizations in serving the community and supporting its various groups. It assists in achieving the desired goal to meet the needs for providing 2,500 devices and enhance the quality of life of people with mobility disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A delegation from the Prime Minister’s Office visits Kirkuk

Deputy Director of the Office of the Prime Minister, Ali Razouki Al-Lami, visited Kirkuk Governorate and met with Governor Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri.

Al-Lami said: ‘Our visit to Kirkuk came at the recommendation of the Prime Minister,’ noting: ‘Kirkuk is a mini-Iraq and dear to the Iraqis, and the government is keen to care for it.’

The governor reviewed the plans and projects of the Kirkuk administration and worked as a single team according to plans and projects distributed among all administrative units, their needs and population ratios, in a way that ensures services are provided to all citizens of the governorate.

The meeting was attended by Tariq Al-Shahili, head of the project follow-up team, Amer Al-Jubouri, advisor to the Prime Minister for projects affairs in Kirkuk, and a number of governorate office officials and service department directors.

Djibouti President receives Foreign Minister


Ismail Omar Guelleh, the President of Djibouti, received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Presidential Palace in the capital city of Djibouti.

Dr. Al Zayani visited Djibouti as part of a tour that covered several Arab countries.

The meeting was attended by Mahmood Ali Yousef, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Djibouti.

President Guelleh relayed his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing them continued health and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.

The Djiboutian President praised Bahrain’s hosting of the 33rd Arab Summit, presided over by His Majesty the King, in light of the developments and challenges facing the Arab world.

The President expressed his anticipation for the summit’s success in achieving the objectives and aspirations of Arab leaders to solidify Arab solidarity, enhance Arab cooperation and i
ntegration, and protect Arab national security.

The Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, wishing the people of Djibouti security, stability, and prosperity.

He praised the close relations between the two countries and their ongoing development and growth in various fields.

The President of Djibouti was briefed by the Foreign Minister on the ongoing preparations for hosting the Arab Summit scheduled for May 16th.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Djibouti; Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Al Teraifi, the Head of the Arab and African Affairs Sector, and Ambassador Saeed Abdul Khaliq Saeed, the Head of the Coordination and Follow-up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

4 Israeli soldiers were killed in Gaza and a military helicopter was targeted


Gaza: The Israeli occupation army admitted that 4 soldiers from the Nahal Brigade were killed and 4 others, including officers, were seriously injured during ground battles in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza.

The Israeli army spokesman said that two soldiers from the 9th Battalion, 401st Brigade were seriously injured in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

In another context, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades announced that they, in conjunction with the Ansar Brigades, targeted a Zionist helicopter east of the Zaytoun neighborhood with a SAM 7 missile

The President of the Republic mourns critic Bassem Abdel Hamid Hamoudi

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, mourned today, Friday, the critic Bassem Abdul Hamid Hamoudi.

Rashid said in a statement, ‘We received with deep sadness the passing of the great heritage researcher and critic Bassem Abdul Hamid Hamoudi,’ pointing out that ‘the deceased was one of the symbols of Iraqi culture, a researcher, historian, and critic.’

He added, “My sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased, his lovers, and to the cultural family in Iraq.”

Saudi Tourism Secures Over 40 New Partnerships, Celebrates Success at Arabian Travel Market

Dubai, The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) celebrated its participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) this week, signing major new agreements with trade partners and successfully showcasing unique summer destinations and products. The event saw one of STA’s largest and most dynamic delegations to date, underscoring the country’s ambitious vision and strategic efforts to innovate and expand its tourism sector.

STA secured over 40 agreements, including collaborations with Flyadeal, Noon, and China i2i Group as well as major strategic partnerships with Saudia and Riyadh Air. These collaborations mark a new stage of growth for the Kingdom and will boost the country’s tourism sector and solidify Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading global tourism destination with unique year-round experiences for visitors.

The Saudi delegation was led by STA chief executive and board member Fahd Hamidaddin, who was joined by over 70 Saudi tourism ecosystem leaders and key partners including destination management companies,
hotels, and airlines.

Representing STA, Hamidaddin participated in a flagship ministerial panel aimed at driving outbound tourism beyond the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and hosted an exclusive media event to showcase Saudi tourism’s dynamic and unique summer offerings to leading global media. To promote the summer season, Hamidaddin also hosted a trade briefing at the Saudi stand, aimed at raising the profile of STA’s summer campaign among key trade partners.

‘As we conclude our participation at ATM 2024, I’m filled with pride and optimism for the future of tourism in Saudi. Each partnership, each conversation, each meeting, has reaffirmed our belief that Saudi has an offer like no other,’ Hamidaddin said.

‘With 72 partners from the tourism ecosystem in attendance, we secured partnerships and made commitments which will further increase our connectivity and ensure the world is aware of our dynamic and diverse destinations,’ the STA chief said.

‘We leave ATM with an ongoing promise to collaborate region
ally, creating a greater tourism economy and elevating the GCC into a global magnet for international travelers,’ Hamidaddin said.

Over the course of the event, over 55,000 visitors interacted with the Saudi stand, which saw a record number of Saudi partners showcasing hundreds of bookable products for partners in destinations such as Jeddah, AlUla, and the Red Sea.

During ATM, STA and Riyadh Air unveiled a major strategic partnership aimed at developing and marketing new connectivity routes, which will include new sponsorship and technological opportunities. The partnership will further foster increased collaboration between STA and Riyadh Air on the Tourism Accelerator Program to boost international visits and bring more visitors than ever to Saudi.

STA further joined forces with Saudia, which will see both entities collaborate on joint promotions, including increased marketing of the stopover visa, enabling visitors to spend up to 96 hours in Saudi Arabia.

ENEMY TARGETS HOUSE IN ALMA AL-SHAAB, SHELLS MARWAHIN, AL-DHAIRA, AND AYTA AL-SHAAB OUTSKIRTS

Israeli enemy aircraft targeted a house in the southern Lebanese town of Alma Al-Shaab, resulting in its destruction and inflicting significant damage to properties, crops, and neighboring houses.

Additionally, the outskirts of the southern towns of Marwahin, Al-Dhaira, and Ayta Al-Shaab were subjected to intermittent hostile artillery shelling after midnight.

The enemy also dropped illuminating bombs over the bordering villages adjacent to the Blue Line, amidst reconnaissance aircraft flying over the villages of the Tyre district and the coastal areas.

In the early morning hours on Friday, the enemy warplanes flew over the southern Lebanese region.

Saudi Foreign Minister, Palestinian Counterpart discuss latest developments in Gaza Strip


Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received in Riyadh Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine.

According to SPA, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation and the latest developments in Palestine, especially developments in the Gaza Strip and the city of Rafah, in addition to the Palestinian government’s priorities and work programme.

Al-Qassam reveals the fate of two Israeli prisoners

First Group of Turkish Pilgrims Arrives in Madinah Under Makkah Route Initiative

Madinah: The first group of pilgrims from Turkiye arrived at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, as part of Makkah Route initiative.

The initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior, is part of the broader ?Pilgrim Experience Program, which falls under Saudi Vision 2030.

Under the Makkah Route Initiative, pilgrims complete all necessary procedures, including electronic visa issuance, biometric data collection, and airport departure checks in their home country. Health requirements are verified, and luggage is coded and sorted based on pre-arranged transportation and accommodation in Saudi Arabia.

Upon arrival at Madinah’s Airport, pilgrims are transferred directly to buses designated for travel to their residences in Makkah and Madinah. Service agencies ensure luggage delivery directly to their accommodations.
