HM King congratulates Moroccan Monarch on Revolution Day

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to HM King Mohammad VI of Morocco on the anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People.

HM the King wished King Mohammad VI abundant health and wellbeing and the brotherly Moroccan people further progress and prosperity, under his leadership.

HM King Hamad affirmed the depth of the steadily-growing fraternal ties between both countries and peoples.

HM the King expressed Bahrain’s keenness to further develop its solid ties with Morocco to achieve common goals.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulates the President of the Republic of Hungary

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Hungary, HE Katalin Novák, on the occasion of the State Foundation Day of Hungary.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister sent a similar cable to the Prime Minister of Hungary, HE Viktor Orbán.

Oman Air, Oman Airports’ General Assemblies Dissolve Boards of Directors, Elect New Bodies

The general assemblies of Oman Air and Oman Airports today held separate meetings during which they dissolved their respective boards of directors and elected new boards of directors for both general assemblies.

The new board of directors of Oman Air and Oman Airports later held separate meetings for both companies under the chairmanship of Eng. Said Hamoud Al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Chairman of the Board.

The meetings approved Oman Air’s new organizational structure and the new committees of the Board of Directors. It also appointed a Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors of the company.

TheOman Airboard of directors also approved the implementation of executive action for its financial sustainability programme. It underscored the significance of conducting the programme in accordance with a comprehensive reform vision comprising commercial regulations and corporate governance of human capital.

Meanwhile, Oman Airports Company’s Board of Directors reviewed the firm’s strategy for the next five years, discussed the company’s financial accounts for the first half of the current year (2023) and approved the formation of new committees for the company’s board of directors. It also appointed a Deputy Chairman of Board of Directors.

Al Ma’awali stressed the need to exert concerted efforts during the next stage to enhance the capabilities of civil aviation sector companies in line with the government’s directives that focus on maximizing investment returns, achieving in-country added value (ICV) and realizing financial sustainability in the sector.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulates HE Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today extended his congratulations to the Second Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, HE Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, on receiving honorary membership of Manchester City FC by the Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court, and owner of Manchester City FC, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, which continue to receive the support of both His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the ongoing development of the Bahrain-UAE partnership across a wide-range of sectors, including youth and sports.

Speaker praises Bahrain humanitarian contributions

Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the UN World Humanitarian Day, annually observed on August 19, in honour of humanitarian aid workers worldwide.

In a statement today, he hailed Bahrain’s contributions to humanitarian work and commitment to dispatching relief aid to people in countries and regions struck by disasters.

Al Musallam commended the role of the Government, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in support of international efforts, which further enhanced the standing of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He also congratulated His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, Supreme Defence Council Secretary-General and Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) Board of Trustees’ Chairman.

FM Issues Directives Regarding Granting Entry Visas For The Arbaeen Visit

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, directed today, Friday, to maximize the efforts of all Iraqi missions in order to grant entry visas for the Arbaeen visit.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahhaf said in a statement that, “Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein directed to maximize the efforts of all Iraqi missions in order to grant entry visas for the Arbaeen visit,” pointing out that “Iraqi missions work around the clock to facilitate the granting of entry visas to Iraq and from all over the world.”

He added that “an urgent response room operates in the consular department in the ministry and supervises the work of all Iraqi missions to make the visiting season a success,” stressing that “the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to promote religious tourism.”

Iranian Air Defense: We Are Constantly Monitoring The US Aircraft Over The Gulf Waters

Deputy Commander of Air Defense Operations in Iran, Reza Haj, confirmed today, Friday, that the army’s radars detected F-35 aircraft over the Gulf waters during the past week.

“In the past days, several American F-35s flew over the waters of the Gulf, and from the moment they took off, they were fully tracked by our radars and all the radars in the south of the country followed these aircrafts immediately,” said Reza Hajj.

A few days ago, the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet announced the arrival of more than 3,000 US soldiers in the Red Sea on board the warships “USS Bataan” and “USS Carter Hall”.

The arrival of these forces comes in an active context previously announced to strengthen the American presence in the Middle East.

Again… Momika Burns The Qur’an And The Iraqi Flag In Front Of The Iranian Embassy In Stockholm

Today, Friday, the Swedish authorities again allowed the Iraqi citizen residing in its lands, Silwan Momica, to burn another copy of the Qur’an, under police protection, this time in front of the Iranian embassy, 4 days after he burned the Qur’an in front of the Swedish parliament.

A woman who was among those gathered in the place tried to extinguish the burning Quran using a fire extinguisher, but the Swedish police intervened and stopped her.

Momika burned the Qur’an in front of the Tehran embassy building in Stockholm, and wiped his foot with the Iranian flag and the image of its president, Ibrahim Raisi, according to Anadolu Agency, which indicated that Momika ran over the Holy Qur’an and then burned it with a picture of Raisi and the Iranian and Iraqi flags, and another Iraqi citizen, Silwan Najm, helped him in that.

The two left the place with “a police armored car after the burning of the Qur’an ended, and they were accompanied by several cars and about 100 policemen,” according to the agency.

The burning of the Qur’an today, comes a day after Sweden raised the alert level associated with the risk of “terrorist” acts from 3 to 4 on an ascending scale of 5 degrees, against the backdrop of threats after burning copies of the Qur’an on its lands.

Syria, Cuba discuss ways to enhance bilateral ties

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Fayssal Mikdad, received on Thursday a phone call from his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, where the two sides discussed means of strengthening bilateral relations.

Minister Mikdad affirmed Syria’s permanent and unconditional support for Cuba in the face of the unjust economic blockade imposed on the country by the USA.

Minister Rodriguez called for strengthening the existing friendship ties between the two countries, and increasing bilateral coordination in international forums.

The two ministers also discussed the preparations for Syria’s participation in the G-77 and China meeting, which Cuba will host in mid-September.

HEC Secretary-General highlights importance of intellectual property protection

Dr. Diana Abdulkareem Al Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council (HEC), received Asma Abdulaziz Al Najdi, Bahrain Intellectual Property Society Chairperson.

Dr. Al Jahrami was briefed on the Society’s objectives, activities, plans, achievements and contribution in spreading the culture of intellectual property.

The meeting discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the society and higher education institutions.

The Secretary-General emphasised the vital role of intellectual property protection in protecting the rights of innovators, spreading knowledge, promoting scientific research, entrepreneurship and innovation, achieving scientific and technological progress.

She also added that intellectual property protection provides legal frameworks to protect the rights of innovators, inventors and creators in higher education institutions, and achieves cooperation between these institutions and affiliated research centres between the industrial and commercial sectors.

Dr. Al Jahrami highlighted the importance of intellectual property in enhancing the competitiveness of students, attracting investments in the field of higher education, and providing opportunities to transform research and discoveries into marketable products and services, which contributes to economic development.
