Prince Turki bin Saud bin Turki bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has passed away, the Royal Court Announced.

Funeral prayer on his soul will be performed at Imam Turki bin Abdullah mosque in the city of Riyadh on Sunday corresponding to the 12th of Zulhijjah 1443 H., the statement said, appealing to Allah Almighty to bestow his mercy and forgiveness on his soul.

Chechen President leaves Jeddah

President Ramzan Kadyrov of the Chechen Republic, left Jeddah today after performing Hajj rituals.

At King Abdulaziz International Airport, the President was seen off by Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Advisor to the Governor of Makkah Region, Governor of Jeddah, and a number of officials.

MIKATI CONGRATULATES SISI, ERDOGAN AND ARAB FOREIGN MINISTERS ON EID AL-ADHA

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Mikati also exchanged congratulations with the Prime Ministers of Iraq Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Qatar, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Jordan, Bishr Al-Khasawneh, and Egypt, Mustafa Madbouly.

The PM had congratulatory contacts with Arab foreign ministers, wishing their countries wellness, prosperity and progress.

“Lebanon appreciates these countries to stand by it permanently and to support its people, especially in the difficult circumstances it is going through,” he concluded.

Sudanese Sovereignty Council’s Member Receives Saudi Ambassador

A member of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Dr. Al-Hadi Idrissi, received here the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sudan, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar.

During the meeting, they discussed the current crisis in West Darfur, the reconciliations that took place between the conflicting tribes in Jebel Moon and the reconciliation efforts reached between the conflicting tribes.

The current situation in Sudan was also discussed.

HRH Crown Prince chairs meeting of Council of Economic and Development Affairs

Jeddah — His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs has chaired the Council’s meeting held at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

During the meeting, the council reviewed a number of economic and development issues, including the presentation submitted by the Ministry of Commerce with participation of Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the Ministry of Economy and Planning regarding monitoring price levels of a number of products in the Kingdom’s markets.

HRH Crown Prince stressed the need to take into account the neediest citizens in the face of international developments that resulted in rising costs of some basic needs, affirming the important roles of ministries and government agencies concerning with monitoring international developments related to chains supplying, monitoring markets, product availability, price levels, protecting and encouraging fair competition, and combating and preventing monopolistic practices that affect legitimate competition or the interest of the consumer.

The Council was also briefed on the presentation submitted by the Ministry of Health regarding the health developments related to the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid 19), including an update on the epidemiological situation following the decision to lift the precautionary and preventive measures related to the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to updates on administering vaccines, the most prominent preparations for this year’s Hajj season ( 1443 AH), and the state of the epidemiological situation internationally.

The Council followed up on the periodic presentation submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning regarding the analysis of opening economic activities and the impact of the Coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic.

The Council has taken the necessary recommendations on these issues.

Madinah– President of the Republic of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih arrived in Madinah today to visit the Prophet’s Holy Mosque.

At Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the President was received by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region and a number of officials.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Monitors Readiness of Hajj Security Forces

Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, who is also Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, was reassured of the readiness of Hajj security forces to carry out their tasks in maintaining the security and safety of pilgrims.

This came during his patronage of the ceremony organized by the Hajj security forces participating in Hajj this year 1443 H.

In a speech during the ceremony, the Director of Public Security and Head of the Hajj Security Committee Lieutenant-General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Basami affirmed the readiness of the security forces to perform their duties to maintain the security and safety of pilgrims and facilitate their performance of rituals, indicating that the forces began their duties in Makkah, Al-Madinah, the holy sites, all ports, and on all roads leading to Hajj areas.

In the presence of the Minister of Interior, the Hajj security forces conducted a number of security hypotheses, demonstrating the high professionalism of the security officers, and paraded special vehicles, armored vehicles and security aviation.

The ceremony was attended by Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Deputy Governor of Al-Madinah Region, and a number of senior officials.

Shura Council Speaker Participates in Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network

Riyadh– The Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network under the motto “Boosting the role of national parliaments in promoting global peace and sustainable development” has kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan, with the participation of the Kingdom’s delegation headed by the Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, in the presence of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and the participation of Speakers of Parliaments of the Member States of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries.

President Aliyev, at the opening ceremony, welcomed the participating delegations, stressing that Azerbaijan will initiate the establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement Support Office at the United Nations, which has received support from all members of the Non-Aligned Movement. The president said that the establishment of the Movement’s Support Office would play an important role in protecting the interests of the movement’s members in international forums, and enhancing solidarity among members, adding that joint parliamentary action would enhance bilateral relations between countries.

Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, said, in her speech at the conference, that the members of the Parliamentary Network of Non-Aligned Countries represent a great and influential force in the world, stressing that the world is going through changes that require parliamentarians to stand and work together.

During the conference, members of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement discussed the Baku declaration that will be issued by the conference, the system of working rules of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the approval of the organization’s logo and flag and the election of the Network’s president and deputies. The participants also listened to deliberations by several heads of international organizations, as well as heads of parliaments.

The Kingdom’s delegation participating in the conference includes Council member Dr. Hattan bin Abdul Karim Timraz, Council member Dr. Najwa Al-Ghamdi, and several council officials.

KSrelief’s Assistant General Supervisor Meets with Chairman of Peace Commission in Sudan

Riyadh– The Assistant General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) for Operations and Programs, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, met here today, with the Chairman of the Peace Commission in Sudan, Dr. Suleiman Adam Al-Dabailo.

During the meeting, they tackled a number of topics of common interest related to relief and humanitarian affairs.

Dr. Al-Dabailo valued the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the support and attention given to the Sudanese people.

Chairman of Presidential Leadership Council Receives Deputy Minister of Defense

Riyadh– Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi received at his residence during his private visit to the Kingdom, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense.

The Deputy Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, to the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and members of the Council, and their wishes for Yemen and its people security, stability and peace. Meanwhile, Al-Alimi conveyed to the Deputy Minister of Defense his greetings to the Kingdom’s leadership.

During the meeting, and emanating from the Kingdom’s leadership’s keenness to support the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council, and the Yemeni government in advancing Yemen politically and economically, and in continuation of the Kingdom’s support for the Yemeni people, a package of development projects, which will be implemented by the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen, were announced, which included 17 development project in 6 sectors including energy, transportation, education, water, health, and building state institutions, $400 million, in addition to $200 million to provide oil derivatives to operate power stations to meet the priority needs of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the Council’s efforts in unifying the Yemeni components to reach a comprehensive political solution.

The Deputy Minister of Defense reiterated the Kingdom’s support for the Presidential Council, and its blessing for the council’s positive initiatives with the international community to bring security, peace, and stability to Yemen, end the Yemeni crisis and reach a comprehensive political solution that will bring peace to Yemen and boost its development.

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Saeed Al Jaber, and a number of officials from both sides.

Presidency of Two Holy Mosques Targets 150 Million Beneficiaries from Translating Arafah Sermon into 10 International Languages this Year

Makkah– The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, through interpreting Arafah sermon, seeks to deliver the Two Holy Mosques’ message in several languages to enhance the values of tolerance and moderation in the world, in addition to seeking to reach 150 million beneficiaries this Hajj season through 10 international languages.

General President of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais stressed that the presidency has prepared through devices and global transmission systems to broadcast and translate Arafah sermon to all Muslims around the world in 10 languages: English, French, Malay, Urdu, Farsi, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Turkish and Hausa, noting that the project is the biggest of its kind in bearing the message of tolerance and moderation from the land of peace and a global qualitative leap to spread the message of Islam, as well as its contribution to realizing the Saudi Vision 2030 goals concerned with the Two Holy Mosques.

He added that Arafah sermon is among sermons with important Islamic dimensions for its carrying the message of Islam based on tolerance and moderation, pointing out that the presidency last year succeeded in reaching 100 million beneficiaries in the world.

330,451 Pilgrims Arrived in Madinah

Madinah– A total of 330,451 pilgrims from several nationalities have arrived in Madinah, through air and land crossings to perform this year’s Hajj.

Statistics on arriving and departing pilgrims in Madinah, issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, showed that 266,064 pilgrims have arrived through the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah since receiving the first Hajj flights, while the land immigration center received 49,038 pilgrims and the center of receiving pilgrims via land received 15,222.

The statistics also revealed the nationalities of pilgrims staying in Madinah, showing that Bangladeshi pilgrims are top residents of Madinah with 12,625, followed by Nigerians with 9,673, Pakistanis with 8,369, Indians with 7,575 and Iranians with 6,425 pilgrims.

Statistics showed that 239,547 pilgrims left Madinah over the past few days on their way to the Holy Sites in Makkah, where the number of pilgrims staying in Madinah until yesterday totaled 90,877 pilgrims from various nationalities.
